Vigil: Blood Bitterness it's a good game for those who like point-and-click games, but require windows xp to correctly show the cut scenes, which are essential to the story. I run this game through VirtualBox.

Luisfius: Dark Souls is seven dollars and fifty cents. Yeah. Redeems on steam, requires GFWL. It is the best game in either service.

Edit: Beaten 6 hours ago but bears repeating. Yes, get DSFix. My bad, haven't had coffee yet.

gyokzoli: Is it good with keyboard and mouse?
It's a great game but worst port ever as well.

grynn: It's a great game but worst port ever as well.
It is the straightest of straight ports. It by definition cannot be the worst port ever since it is by default functionally identical to the complete Console version with no performance downgrades, missing content, or broken implementation. Unlike ACTUAL BAD PORTS, like Saints Row2, Resident Evil 4, and Devil May Cry 3.

And adding a tiny fanmade extender or two, and it becomes the definitive version.

this is a very precise clarification.

Finally, a decent price for Of Orcs And Men at $10.20 / £6.80 on GG. 10,200 vs 10,500 BC, in case you were wondering.

And some more interesting information about the game here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/216910/discussions/0/864957182673480705/

Yeah, the ActControl DRM was removed from the Steam version.. I'd recommend waiting for a good deal on the Steam version, since GamersGate's version still has the DRM.. unless someone can confirm otherwise.

Well it looks like totally confirmed: no more fraking ACT-DRM on Steam:

On steam, yes, but GamersGate's version is not Steam.

They did nothing for the PC unlike others (even though they were not so good), they only ported the game right away. I think that makes it worse.

I mean even resolution problems got fixed by fans, wtf really. They shouldn't have released it on PC.

Correct. So I am waiting for a nice price on a Steam sale. As much as I love GG, this is far as it goes.

there are enough sales for the PC Version that disagree with you. But then Rockstart makes real shitty ports, ugly textures, totally awkward controls and stability issues and what not and they sell like free cake.
While Dark Souls works stable with a flawless controller implementation.

I mean you could say the same about Trine, which is not a console port, this game is really great, if you play it with a controller. The keyboard implementation is the most horrible thing I've seen in a long time, and even the controller scheme needed severe adjustment to work for me - my humbe opinion.
I hate using gamepad on PC, actually I don't have one anyway. So any game without proper keyboard+mouse scheme automatically sucks. I didn't have any problem playing Trine's though.

I haven't played much of Trine 1, but I've played through Trine 2 a few times with controller, and once with keyboard + mouse and can say the game is definitely better with kb+m due to the fact that its easier to create boxes/planks, trap enemies with boxes with mage, aim arrows with the thief, and easier to fly with the shield as the knight.

Takes a little bit more time getting used to the keyboard controls.. but the kb+m controls are better for that particular game.. I'm guessing Trine 1's controls are similar with kb+m but can't say for sure as I haven't tried it with those controls.
