Naturally I don't have that game, but again. The only reported block I've seen for it is for Russian keys. Do bear in mind that Steam had major problems with its release. Even those who purchased it directly on Steam and in other countries had issues with it. For example Steam reported the exe to be missing; some countries found it "released" sooner than it should have been. Now, none of my Japan based friends who purchased it have reported any issues with activating their keys. Neither, has there been any noticeable mention of problems with GG sold keys as I said.

And yes, a lot of the games that became restricted today can certainly be activated in Japan - such as Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and Football Manager 2013 (which is one of 3 non-MegaDrive SEGA games sold directly on Steam in Japan).

dyscode: That has obviously happened AFTER I posted that. When I posted it, I *could* buy it with out problems, if I wanted it.
Yep. It was a very recent change. One that was spotted a few minutes after it happened by someone else wanting to buy that =/

I'll check that internally. It's possible that the removal was a Friday evening, better-safe-than-sorry decision to prevent people from buying codes that _might_ not work. I kind of doubt that, but I can't exclude the possibility. It's also possible that the policy change (which must originate either from Sega or from Steam) is so new that it hasn't found its way to the Japanese community yet, and that keys that were issued before the policy chance are still working. What I can tell is that GG currently is operating on the premise "Don't sell those keys to Japan, they won't work.", which is consistent with the tickets that arrived at the support department. I'll try to have a deeper look into the matter early next week.

Trust me, the JP community noticed this pretty much as soon as it happened. As for keys being restricted after the fact? While I can't discount it; I've certainly never heard of it happening before. And there certainly isn't a single peep of it happening on the Steam forums/Discussions.

Still if that has happened, it's a good reason to launch legal action against Valve as they should have zero say in dictating who can and cannot use third party sold keys.
Another boring weekend .

Wooah, they straight up sell pets on their website now: http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=1100002356

That's like putting microtransactions in a premium game, isn't it? Only that fire kitty pet is 10 freaking dollars!

Wow, didn't know WOW was in such a state, hurting bad are they?

EDIT: Fire kitty is a bad example as apparent the money for that, at least some of it, went to charity. So good on them, however, I think the point still stands, they're selling mounts for 25 dollars...
