A permanent internet connection is required to play the game.
Translation: UbiDRM, where a portion of the game code runs on their servers.
Again, as I mentioned earlier, this requirement was dropped the same time it was dropped for AC2. GamersGate just haven't updated the store page.
I looked it up, and it looks like, according to these guys

, that it *is* patched out. But you have to have an active connection every time you launch the game. Still too much for me. What happens when they release the next version or two? Will I have to go to shady site to play the game I bought? No sale, thanks.
They also haven't promised that they won't use it again. So UbiSoft is still less desirable for me. Now, if SS:Conviction becomes $1 or $3 - that would be a fair rental price.
