Gamestop / Impulsedriven D&D Anthology

The usual known bundles

Baldur and Icewind both including sequels and add ons + Planescape + Tempel of Elemental Evil - 3,71€
http://www.impulsedriven.com/products/ESD-IMP-W2574

Neverwinter Nights 1+2 both including expansions - 5,57€
http://www.impulsedriven.com/products/ESD-IMP-W2575

Both bundles bundled - 8,36€
http://www.impulsedriven.com/products/ESD-IMP-W3220

Seems ridiculous cheap - I don't know anything about the DRM (Gamestop App required but maybe just to download the installers?)

I emailed Gamestop to ask about whether these were DRM-free and could be backed up or if they depended on the client. The answer I got is disappointing, but a bit amusing. Didn't address the DRM question at all, just suggested it's "not impossible to try to make a back up." So reassuring! lol

"Hello,

It is not impossible to attempt to make a back up with the games you buy but unfortunately we do not support this if you have issues making a disc backup.
Best Regards,

(name removed to be nice)
GameStop PC Downloads Support"

so... maybe you can back them up, and maybe there is no DRM... as great as the price is, I've luckily got most of them already, and if I pick up NWN2, I think I'd rather do it on GoG and know there will be support for it.

dirtyharry50: I do. Some potato head in marketing needs to be fired. That has to be the worst advertisement for a product I can recall seeing for a very long time, maybe ever. If that actually works, affects purchasers and results in increased sales there is no hope left for humanity. For a moment there I thought maybe I did one too many hits of acid in my youth.

Seems about the price you'd expect from a complete bundle. The D&D one on GG is $6,50 alone on sale? so 8,36 for both is quite possible.

Same publisher so it's probably the reworked GOG versions like on GG before for everything but NWN2, which had it's DRM removed with patches.

If it was for an enterprise-level software product, or some security suite or something, yes. But it's a video game. About a heroic potato.

I thought it was awesome. The guy that delivered the lines was incredible... unless he's speaking naturally, in which all bets are off.

If I was to criticize, I'd say it was a little too long without showing game scenes. But, it's not much to look at.

Saw on cheap ass gamer a few days ago when they were talking about the bundle that the games need the gamestop app to install. Also Neverwinter Nights 2 had online activation, but unlimited activations.

Since I got the D&D Anthology from Gamersgate, which was DRM free without any work from the download, I'm going to wait for GOG to have a special on Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2 together.

I can't believe it. That's the brand new King's Bounty.

Yes, if it had not been so drawn out and had showed the game (I didn't know it was for a game until the end) then it might have been alright but it wasn't. Anyway, to each their own.

It does require the gamestop app to install but I do not recall having to go through any online activation for NWN2 when I installed everything.

If someone has any feedback on Warriors of the North, please share it.
Today has been a big update on Steam but the gameplay seems to be
just more of the same.

From what I've heard others say, it is basically a repeat on King's Bounty: The Legend & King's Bounty: Armored Princess, but with some new units and some minor mechanics alterations. If you liked the previous games and don't mind playing another night identical game (but with a different story), then it should appeal to you.
