So Chasm: The Rift just got a Steam page, with a release date of October 2022, courtesy of SNEG.

Since this publisher also releases its games on GOG, I think it's safe to assume that it'll also get released here.

Oh? That'd be great news. One of the true classic FPS games that's missing.

WinterSnowfall: P.S.: Bound By Love is a Kagura Games RPGMaker title, so I doubt it has been scrapped. More likely it's on the pipeline for one of those "p*rn Friday" releases :P.
Fixed!

General Arcade, the porting service provider not only commissioned by GoG for a couple projects but also responsible for the heavy lifting on a few SNEG-published titles (Blade of Darkness, Diggles: The Myth of Fenris, Siege of Avalon) looks to have taken on the duties for Chasm: The Rift:

More assurance that it'll get a DRM-free GoG release as well, I think.

I wonder if GOG will miss out on sales since they didn't put up a "Coming Soon" page for Chasm: The Rift. All the Twitter posts and news are for the Steam release. (But now that all GOG games come to Steam and GOG doesn't get any exclusives and thus will go bankrupt, at least we'll be able to have all our games in one place on Steam ;) /jk)

Everyone on Twitter is talking about the Steam release, so GOG might miss out on sales from people who might have bought a GOG release but wasn't aware it was coming here. (admittedly that might be a small share of people. plus we don't know for sure it is coming here but it does seem likely)

That's a problem that, imo, GOG has for a long time. Too many times we only know a game is coming to GOG a few days before it releases, or even the day of release, while the Steam page has been up since the game announcement.

SEGA needs to release all of their Total War video games for sale 100% Digital Rights Management (DRM) free on gog.com.

I might purchase each of them here and there every few months and write negative reviews.

So basically blackmailing a publisher is the way to get them to to publish games here? In my opinion you are damaging GOG by doing this. Others might think GOG's user are all ***holes.

I would have imagined it being a first (a forum for a bundle)... but I guess I was wrong.

Sure if you believe that that is damaging gog.com, then by all means believe it and not stand up and fight for what you believe is acceptable.

I will fight this fight until the day I die. I stopped purchasing video games from Steam in 2012, but only in 2021 I started purchasing them again on Steam and doing this because I cannot wait ten years or twenty years or whatever for video games to be released for sale on gog.com if ever at all. I thought I can wait, but life is short. So I will do something about it no matter what it takes, actions need to be taken and I am not surrendering any more. It has been boring. Video game is my hobby and one of the enjoyments of life.

True but to me it seems like, for a Good Old Game, GOG should especially be active regarding this. Maybe SNEG wants to focus on just Steam for the time being and a GOG release will come later.
