JinseiNGC224: August 1st isn't far away, and they already patched the first Z when there was enough support shown for it so it could work on XP.
Yeah, but the remake of first Z had XP as a supported OS all the time (what became true after first patch).
And now XP was removed from supportes OSs list...that's why I have bad feelings about it.

tburger: It seems that remake of second part of Z is delayed. Steam release is now set on 1st August...:-(
They also removed XP as a supported OS :-((

LStill have little hope GOG will do some magic and will make this game run on Linux.....
While Z works well in wine 1.7.22 for me, with Z Steel Soldiers it can be a bigger problem as it uses some 3D engine...
I´m not sure whether somebody allready posted it, but if the GOG-Team doesn´t reject Oddworld: New n´Tasty, it´ll be released on here round PC-launch!

I thought Oddworld Inhabitants had forgotten about GOG. :-/ I don't really want to get my hopes up until I see a source that they're open to bringing the game to GOG.
Why was it even rejected to begin with? Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is the only game in the series that haven't been released here yet. Oddworld Inhabitants has stated that they will be working on Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD right after New n´Tasty launches. So, there might be a second chance at getting Munch's Oddysee here. Just wish that they would of allowed the release of the original earlier...

Just believe me, I´ve got their answer per mail today and they allowed me to publish that piece of information:
"We will of course be letting GOG.com have New 'n' Tasty to distribute, assuming we can hit the right price point, just like we have the other Oddworld games. Of course it's up to them if they want to make it available."

Oh nice!

I do wish GOG could renegotiate with Oddworld for smaller prices; http://store.steampowered.com/app/15710/ has the games for half as much as GOG, although maybe regional pricing is involved here.

EDIT: Also, significantly more languages are on Steam, too.

If I take a look on Steam, it´s 3€ for europeans!
And you are right, would be nice to have those languages on here!

Could you send a message back to Oddworld about those issues? (Price and languages, or at least languages?)

Also, GOG doesn't have Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee yet, though at this point they may be waiting until they finish porting the HD version to PC, which they've said will be happening once they get New 'n' Tasty out the door.

I thought Munch's Odd was poorly received on Steam but evidently not. Oh well, we have to pick and choose our battles; I think this is up to GOG.
Hmmmm... looking forward to New'n'Tasty. Particularly because I've never played Abe's Odyssey beyond a PSX demo that came out around the original release...
the first two odd world games are great , i would consider skipping the next two console ports with tons of issues but this new remake New'n'Tasty is pretty awesome.

Here´s the answer and it looks out pretty nice, but wasn´t dealing with the langage issue:
"The simple answer to that is that GOG.com is very restrictive about the prices that can be given to games. There are only a limited number of set price points, and that price point was the one most sensible to us at the time.

GOG.com may have changed its pricing strategy since then, but we haven't looked into it. It may be time for us to do that. Thanks for the prompt!"

Looks like those two games simply have been rerleased here at the time 5.99$ was the lowest possible pricing point!
