tfishell: Just to be clear - it's very unlikely we'll be getting the Dune games as Night Dive talked to the Herbert Properties folks and they were uninterested in trying to re-release the games.

cyboff: I don't believe Night Dive when they are saying "unlikely...", "uninterested..." etc... ;)
I don't know, the Herbert family haven't been the best of people when it came to the dune franchise. I read somewhere that they stopped a book called the dune encyclopedia (which Frank Herbert helped with) from being reprinted simply because it did not fit into their version of dune.

damien: in that case The Daedalus Encounter would be sweet. I really doubt Dune or any C&C would be listed under Virgin if they appeared on GOG.

PS: Still hoping for Magic and Mayhem
Saw your mention of The Daedalus Encounter above and I have no idea what that game is but the first thing I thought was "that sounds vaguely familiar, like maybe from a long time ago?" and the second thing that popped in my mind was "Tia Carrere" of which I had no idea why. So I googled the name of the game and found the game box with a lovely photo on the front of Ms. Carrere.

Pretty funny that even though I don't really remember this game or anything about it, my primal man DNA remembered that Tia Carrere was in it. LOL

I hear you. it was one of the first pc games I owned and the game had a very nice cover art . Funny thing that the cover arts used to be an important sale factor back in the day
One day... Future Cop: LAPD will be on this list. Please... :D

Yeah, slapping Tia Carrere on the cover of anything would pretty much boost the sales of whatever it might be. :)

I'm pretty sure the devs confirmed this on the GOGCast last night, also that they are working on a cyberpunk horror game.

Nice game, a little confusing in terms of controls at times (on Wii), but still very entertaining. Very much recommended from my end. ;)

Hmmm... Sound familiar, but i can't remember.

turbosnake: Doesn't matter because a gog release was confirmed by DoubleFine.
Yeah. Not so sure what to think of that 'confirmation' when they confirmed today that their distributor is only now in talks with GOG instead of months ago.

Don't we all know GOG looooves to be a mere afterthought. :|

In a few weeks' time, other games will be more interesting, and whether GOG also gets the soundtrack, well... who knows. :(
May be someone to care (not many upvotes at community wishlist):

Contacted with the Arcen Games - developers of "A Valley Without Wind 1 & 2" (https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/a_valley_without_wind and https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/a_valley_without_wind_2) and asked about the possibility of the publication here.

The answer is (quote):
"Cheers! We'd love to, but they have said no. They are being very selective in what they publish for some reason."
and
"Hopefully they will change their mind at some point."

Reminds me story with Braid. :(

P.S. By the way... "A Valley Without Wind 1 & 2" is available on Humble Store and is DRM-free.

*And sorry for my bad English - not my native.
