This is a different breed of sycophants altogether. We're not talking about the "no steam, no buy" crowd. I can understand people liking a service and wanting to buy games only there. But the "devs should only release in steam" kind of reasoning is a new low.

Yeah that's weird, unless they're worried about the multiplayer community getting split up. (like some of the Homeworld forum people were)

But their main point, at least in those posts, it's that there are so few people requiring a drm-free version that the publisher shouldn't do it. So by their own reasoning there shouldn't really be much of a multiplayer community split.
With this 3DO titles ("cough* I never heard of "cough*) coming in, can we hope to see those good ol' Army Men games coming as well?

Yeah but that tiny % of customers still make it into the bottom line at the end of the day too, and unhappy customers tend to be a bit more vocal (in general sense too). The whole multiplayer split really shouldn't be a factor when it comes to primarily single player games imho...

It's the same crowd that refuses to believe that Steam is DRM. It is impossible to converse with them about anything. They're also the crowd that cap screams names at you and goes into epileptic fits when confronted with challenging concepts or opinions. Not a bunch given to thoughtful, intellectual discussion.

Garbage in, garbage out.
