New companies in the catalog: Serious Sim and Games Operators, PlayWay S.A. for Radio Commander (?):

Radio Commander is a strategy game based on one crucial idea - the player uses only a radio to command his troops on the battlefield.

In Radio Commander, the player is not an invisible being hovering over the battlefield, but rather a real military commander that carries a heavy burden of coordinating military operations. It’s a bold try to redefine the genre, as player will be involved in a decision making process much more realistic than those pictured by casual RTS.

The game is set during the Vietnam War and focused on a narrative driven experience. The main game scenario doesn’t avoid difficult issues of civilians trapped in the theater of action, shady CIA operations, and cynical political pressures.
About our game

KEY FEATURES
- Radio Commander offers a unique experience as the player gives orders and tracks the situation based on radio reports only.
- Intriguing campaign story about soldiers and their commander, trapped in the middle of bloody, chaotic, morally ambiguous Vietnam conflict.
- Complex simulation (e.g. various terrain modificators, unit statistics, combat maneuvers etc.).
- During each mission the player has to make crucial choices and then face their outcome.

OTHER FEATURES
- 9 campaign missions (every mission is possible to complete in several different ways).
- 15 units types, including: infantry, evac choppers, gunships, field artillery, aerial reconnaissance, armored personnel carriers M113, and napalm-carrying F4 Phantom jets.
- Full voice over.
- Over 200 dialogue blocks, used to construct radio messages.
- Over 600 story dialogues between units and the commander.

Nice, hopefully just the beginning of more previously ignored dungeon crawlers finally showing up here.
Numskull hopefully is for Bladed Fury (whose developer NExT is already on board).

SimonZephyr: OMG please please please let CIV V get released here!!!!!!!
avatar
WinterSnowfall: Holy random wishposts, Batman!

I think I've said it before - we're in the middle of a always-sometimes-in-the-far-future-release-race between Civ V and Skyrim, and my money is on Skyrim. I would not expect any of them any time soon.
Have you ever found a listing that hasn't been released here besides those two?

I wasn't the one that found Skyrim - I believe that one can be attributed to SCPM, who found a forum link some years ago, if memory serves.

As to what I found hints of and are still not released:
- Civ 5
- The Abbey
- Army Men: Air Tactics
- Army Men - Sarge's War
- Drakensang - The River of Time
- Commander Keen in Keen Dreams
- Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times

And a few others I might have forgotten about - the forum has a better memory. I post everything I am aware of on this thread.

The reason for this is probably because Nightdive was once planning on releasing this, but they actually didn't own the rights for it. The current rightsholder is an actual asshole who got banned from Steam as a publisher so the game was pulled with that. I doubt GOG has any interested in doing business with this person.

karnak1: I don't understand why so much hate for Capstone... it was obviously the pinnacle of entertainment software

ReynardFox: That review gave me a good laugh.
Just saw it too. It's hilarious.
Read the comments alluding to Cyberpunk2077 as a sequel to Tekwar for even more laughs.

(Is it a necro if this is an active thread?)

It was one of the first ones I picked up on a long long time ago, so that's probably true. I'd expect it is a remnant of the intended Nightdive release.

In other news, if anyone's interested, it looks like Action SuperCross is on the horizon.
