The Cyberpunk 2077 and Blair Witch pre-orders were dropped on a Saturday as well last year, iirc...

Looking at the tweet again, I think I just read it wrong initially. They are acquiring the title this week, and the title will be their first game on GOG, so the actual release date can be any time in the future.

So, it won't be a new game release on GOG, just a game which is already here, will remain here after the acquisition by Microsoft.

So... that actually might have just been a wink-wink towards GoG, as in "Now that we're officially publishing on your platform, we might as well get in talks about releasing the rest of our catalogue on there too".
