GOG should also look at being a free content provider. For example, I'd love to see games like Ground Control, Red Alert, Tribes 1, and MechCommander 2 show up in the catalog (for free, of course), if only just as a download. These are all older games that fit right with the demographic here, and I'd love to see a big Tribes community form here.
Gamers who really want to play these games can find them on Fileplanet or whereever, but the convenience of having them all here and a community that can play them will get them to be returning customers. It wouldn't be long after they get a little bored with these freeware games that they start browsing the games catalog...
Crusader: No Remorse/No Regret
Already in, go buy it!
fix-cz: The Black Mirror (
in original "Posel smrti" by Future Games)
JETS'N'GUNS (by Rake In Grass)
These are not old! Or at least they're not forgotten by the public yet.
Also, you reminded me of Flying Heroes, another one I'd like to play.
also, wasn't Deus Ex released free or something?
It was released on Steam. Not for free, I guess, or at least it's the first time I hear that.
used to be free, by the way. I wonder if Codies terminated the offer because of the GOG.com release.
