Omilkron and Terminal velocity will be perfect on GOG, I was in searching for them for months (And I haven't found them yet XD)
That old lucasarts rpg/puzzlesolver where you play as a robot set in the star wars universe. And rayman 1. Damn that game is awesome.
Edit: Noone has actually mentioned rayman 1? Man am i dissapointed :(

stick man's "chaos overlords".
Ok, I just remembered two more. And the chances of actually getting these two are pretty slim, but here goes
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
:) Told ya, they were tough ones :D

That was be sick beyond belief. But yes, highly unlikely since the publisher of the series is still highly successful and will be turned off by an easily piratable version of their game. Though maybe, since they aren't making any more money, they might let up if we pressured them to.
And some of the games are, I believe, Abandonware. It might be pirating depending on how you look at it, but that might alleviate your pains for a while.

UK_John: I have never heard of Quarantine and Google has never heard of it either, so I cannot see how it is a classic, and despite probably getting flamed, some of the titles mentioned are never going to be on G.O.G. because while being good games in many cases, they were never in the classic class!

Slybo: I didn't know you where a computer game Guru. It must be quite an honor being able to declare what games are worthy to be hosted here on GOG simply because you never heard of them.
After all if you never played it then it simply must NOT be good. Right.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quarantine_(game)

I know you were being sarcastic, but I do have 25 years in gaming. I have managed a chain of computer game stores, I have had three computer game businesses of my own, one as a retailer, one as a distributor and one as a publisher. I have kept contact with lot's of people in the business (mostly in America where I had one of my businesses) and I have a collection of over 500 games including titles for the VIC-20, Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga, Atari ST and PC. Given i have played nearly every game listed on these pages and in 90% can turn around and see the box concerned and given I know practically every game mentioned for PC anywhere and had not heard of Quarantine I knew it wasn't a big hit. I googled 'Quarantine PC review", and on googling Quarantine PC game' I got a lot more hits and was reminded of the game by the intro vid on You Tube. I remember seeing it on a big screen at a trade fair in Germany and remembered what the game was about. From what I could glean on the web, it was seen as an average game, at best.
Once G.O.G, start selling mediocre PC games, it will become just another retailer and the community spirit that exists now would dissipate. While games don;t have to be classics I would say they would have to be games that garnered high 80 to 90% reviews. As most of the titles mentioned in this thread did. Even User reviews on Gamespot only gave Quarantine mid 70's scores while saying it was okay.
I feel I have don the time to warrant my comments.
So here is another one, I would like to see:
- The Legacy: Realm of Terror
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legacy:_Realm_of_Terror
and these were very good long time ago:
- Hexuma
- Lords of Midnight
- Shivers
- Lighthouse
- Ishtar (I don't remember if this is the correct name of the game, it was a game based on the same named babylonian goddess Ishtar and was about some old ruins)

Alien vs Predator 1-2
Star Wars Racer
Planescape Torment
Icewind Dale
Toca Race Driver 1
Monkey Island

Well, there is no question about it. When it comes to a treasure among classics, it begins and ends with Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.

Awesome sci-fi 4X turn-based strategy game for fans of the Civ series.

i was so impressed by the literacy of that game. the care and design that had gone into the technology blurbs, the factions and their beliefs. it made playing the game that much more engrossing. really one of those games that sucked me in. great choice, there.

Once GOG turns into a "Personal Opinion" only site, then why bother at all ?
And funny how you go on about "community spirit", yet trash most user's wanted lists as "Mediocre", then end it by saying you don't have time to warrant your own comments.
I see you're going to get on well, here.

Since when did jaded game journalists become infallible? They piss on good games all the time and praise overhyped trash.
These are the same people that expect to get paid by publishers for a good review.
Do you only play games that other people tell you to? How pathetic is that!
Everything you wrote in that chest thumping diatribe of yours just tells me that you don't anything about being a gamer. It sounds like you spent 25 years just reading reviews by other people.
There a many games out there both old and new that are absolutely fabulous which never gained any mainstream attention.
My point from before still stands. You don't have any special qualification to declare what is a good/classic game especially if you rate all games based solely on review scores.
Actually, in light of your so called "experience" It seems that I have more of a right to make those sort of claims than you. (not that I do have that right)
Silent Hill 1-2-3 (2: Director's Cut)
Final Fantasies
No one lives forever
Nox
Shadowman
SW: Jedi Academy
SW: Jedi Outcast
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
Unreal
Grand Prix World
