the old supremo / sick as a parrot football management sims.
blade runner
planescape - torment
darklands!
all of the old SSI gold box AD&D games
SSI's - fantasy empires
_________ general series (fantasy especially, people's was fun too)
koei's (good luck...) PC fare: ROTK i, ii, iv, genghis khan i, ii, liberty or death, gemfire, celtic tales, nobunaga's ambition, l'empereur, etc.
creative reality's - dreamweb
computer dream's - the koshan conspiracy (B.A.T. II)
after they became haiku studios - down in the dumps
troika's - arcanum and the temple of elemental evil (which was really enjoyable after you relaxed and realized it was to arcanum what icewind dale was to baldur's gate)
there's probably a thousand that i'm forgetting.
*goes to read the thread now.
I agree 100% with bringing Origin's Crusader: No Remorse and Crusader: No Regret. I played both of those game all the way through and as very disappointed when the next Crusader game was canceled. What a shame

Patejl: Magic Carpet 1 & 2
Terminator: Future Shock & Terminator: Skynet
Blood
Settlers II: Gold Edition (original)
Starcraft

I doubt Blizzard would allow Starcraft since you can still buy the battlechest in stores and download the full game plus expansion from their online store.
Just thought of another:
Redneck Rampage
*edit*
- nevermind, didn't see it in the coming soon section - definitely gonna get that one

LucasArt's classic adventure games are some of the best games ever. Every single one of them deserves a re-release. Except Escape from Monkey Island.
I'd bundle in ScummVM (with the team's permission of course) too. For the games it supports, which includes most of LucasArt's adventure games, it adds several nice features like advanced scaling, quicksaving, and CD audio from hard disk for games that originally used redbook audio.
So many great ideas here. For me, it's:
* X-Com: UFO Defense--absolutely my favorite game of all time.
* All the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games.
* The first 3 Wing Commander games.
Oh, and one last oldy-moldy that I would love to play again:
* Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space--As with X-Com, it's just so fun to rename the troops after your friends and family, and then receive a report that Such-and-Such died in an accident.
i made it six pages. by then i had forgotten which games mentioned were awesome and which i was ambivalent about.
(this thread needs a script that recognizes game titles and tallies them up in descending order (of times mentioned) for easy reading)
as it is, its like the selling floor of a stock exchange in here.
Here's my short list of the greatest PC classics and must-have games for GOG. I would buy every one of these on the spot if available. I have the original game discs for most of them, but as Windows advanced into the XP and then Vista 64-bit versions, most of them stopped working.
Privateer 2
Dungeon Keeper 2 (There was also a 3rd party map editor for this at some point)
Magic: The Gathering with all expansions (Microprose) (This game was slower than dog snot on the computers of the day. Might actually run at a decent speed on today's comps.)
Majesty with all expansions
Heroes of Might & Magic 3 (This might still run on Vista for all I know; but I'd spend $9.99 in a heartbeat for a single downloadable package of this classic with all expansion packs)
Baldur's Gate
I would like to see a "dollar menu", or even a $2.99 for even more older games than GoG currently offers:
Monkey Island Series
Leisure Suit Larry Series
Doom series L
Duke Nukem 3d
Full Throttle
and so on.
Anyway, keep up the good work. Going to buy my first game soon, hopefully many more.
All the stuff from the great studios EA bought and destroyed.

Matrices: All the stuff from the great studios EA bought and destroyed.

i used to love EA under trip hawkins.
remember the game sleeves that looked like LP packaging?
buying EA games used to be a very happy memory for me.
*sigh.
unreal would be nice
Some of the LucasArts SCUMM classics would be awesome.
I'd just like to see more DOS games as well. These are hard to find, and some of the older ones were floppy-based, which really limits things nowadays.
Oh, and stuff from the now-defunct Legend Entertainment games would be nice,
like:
Wheel of Time
Death Gate
Eric The Unready - (very hard to find)
Plus the Krondor series, Tex Murphy...
Oh, and where's Hardwar? That was an Interplay title wasn't it?

the amount of time i sank into that game is embarrassing.
