mechmouse: Just had an email from Gemly stating the intent to sell more GoG products... this could be the start of something special.....

nightcraw1er.488: So how does this work. Do we get the dlc for dlight in our accounts or do i need to goto some third party site and create an account there to then purchase these for download from my account here I already have?
Yes you need to register with Gemly.com
Get teh Key (make sure its for GoG) and the redeem the key via GoG.

Not a huge deal, you have to register to buy from any other key site.

I'm excited to see how gemly operates as a key site

fishbaits: You get a key which you redeem on gog.
Heads up folks: If you've got things like google blocked or Noscript or similar, you still can't redeem, need to turn them off temporarily.
So effectively, to get updates to a game I paid a lot of money here on GOG for, I have to create a third party account thus making GOG's no third party accounts a lie. I brought the product on GOG, GOG should update the product appropriately.

Not a huge deal? Would it be more a deal if you had to do this for every game you owned on GOG? I purchased this game in good faith for quite a bit of money and now I am left with sub-par product with a requirement to access a third party site to get parts of a game I have already paid for. This is not inline with GOG's policies, what if next week to get patches for this you had to log in to steam to get keys to download patches here?

And no, I have no interest in another shady key reseller.

Great another shitty storefront, just what the world needed.
Do they even have any special 'draw'?
Something others don't offer?

Thiev: Technical difficulties with the build. We received new files and if no other problems occur, everything should be available tomorrow.
So when are you finally going to start selling Dying Light in Japan, like you were meant to be doing over a year ago?

Well the designs not too bad

Special draw, something other don't have.. Apparently they'll be selling GoG keys, which I don't think any other store (with the exception of copies of Witcher 3) does.

I'd hold off on the indignation until we see what happens with the rest of the Free content, at the moment your getting rather irate over a Rifle Skin.

The game is still being supported, and will be updated here, which isn't something to be dismissed.

They are supporting GoG with the DLC, which again isn't something to be ignored.

this is no way a shady key reseller

The problem is though, its every single post/new thing brought up by GOG nowadays. Got nothing to do with the weapon which I really don't have any particular need for, but the fact that we as customers of GOG are going to get shafted again in the name of progress. What has in effect happened is that there is another store/account page needed to access the content. And yes, its highly unlikely that we will now see actual content be available for customers here if they have their own storefront to sell keys - it makes no sense for them to then allow other companies to sell what they can do themselves.

There is a lot of sense in allowing others to sell what GoG are offering. Part of the reason Steam is so ubiquitous is because other companies can sell or bundle Steam keys. GoG needs that ability too

Gemly will be able to make their own deals with publishers get other deals at different times than GoG can manage.

Steam Users need to register via Gemly to get their exclusive DLC too.

Are techland being underhanded? Maybe, a little. But I can't fault them using their assets to promote their store.

I bought Witcher3 from Humble & as you say, it's a gog key.
I also bought EVERSPACE gog key from there too (which also came with a steam key).
Sure there's at least one other game that does too.

Most likely, but getting GoG keys from anywhere but GoG is very rare. Hoping Gemly changes that.

Dying Light's just updated.

Night Crawler can you see what you've got?

Thanks for that. One more legit online store for games.

I know
https://www.steampowered.com
https://www.humblebundle.com/saints-row-bundle
https://www.greenmangaming.com/
https://gemly.com/

and our famous www.gog.com of course.

Do you know any other good marketplace website apart from those selling russian and/or asian game keys?

https://chrono.gg/

Deal changes every 24 hours. I've ended up buying quite a lot from there, more than I've got time to play haha.

That subreddit lists lots of sales & sites too.

Sorry, only just got back to look here. Well, nothing showed as updated, however when I goto the game page in my account it does actually show a new patch which includes this new DLC. So I apologise for jumping the gun earlier.
