Microsoft has these 2 games for freeware, but I don't see it on your list.

1. Mechcommander Gold
2. Mechcommander 2

They are really good games.

jefequeso: no nethack?

-_-
Needs more Vulture
For anyone wanting to fire up their old Amiga games: WinUAE

You do need a valid Amiga firmware image tho, but there are tools for ripping them out of that old Amiga you have in the attick.
This list needs more single player RPGs! Here goes:

Barkley, Shut Up & Jam: Gaiden, the one and only J-RPG about basketball.

Space Funeral, a short and originally weird J-RPG with great soundtrack and quirky hand drawn graphics, definitely worth playing.

Dark Disciples I & II, huge and addictive Ultima-style RPGs with lots of opportunities for exploration and many quests.

ShadowFlare Episode One, an enjoyable Diablo-clone (commercial series but the first episode is freeware and a game in its own right).

and [url=http://toadstool.net/games/dungeondash/]Dungeon Dash, two rogue-likes with nice pixel graphics; the first more elaborate, the latter more casual.

Enjoy!

Juggernaught222: Mechcommander2 is still on Microsoft site. Mechcommander Gold is hard to find, most of the links are dead now. I'm hopping that GOG will update and release them both here for $5.99 or better yet FREE.

Holy sh... source code from micro$oft.... I think I"m gonna have a heart attack XD
The list could do with a Puzzle section:

Enigma, a free clone of the German shareware game Oxyd (1990), also known on the Mac, Atari ST and Amiga.

Pingus, a free Lemmings clone for Windows.

Pragmatica, a 'logic, prediction and programming-based puzzle game', might also appeal to fans of SpaceChem.

Pushover remake by Ishisoft.

Fetus & suteF (already on the list, filed under Action etc.) would also fit in a new puzzle category.

Platformers would deserve their own separate category, too:

Frozzd. From the game description: "Jump from planet to planet as you guide the Mubbly creatures, and use them as an army to defeat the Frozzd. 12 levels, a boss, many different enemies, and great music."

Approaching Dawn, another nice Platformer, in style a bit reminiscent of Knytt.

Eternal Daughter by Derek Yu. Story-oriented oldschool platformer with great pixel graphic (scroll to the bottom of the download page).

Some games already on the list that would fit the category: Cave Story, Ikachan, Knytt, Secret Maryo Chronicles, Sonic Fan Remix, Spelunky, The Goonies ...

Last but not least another recommendation for Adventure fans:

The Marionette, a short first person point-and-click adventure with a horror theme, beautifully painted.

Glitch is a MMO browser game with a big emphasis on interacting with players and the environment. Think Minecraft, Terraria, and Little Big Planet all in one. :D
Stealth Bastard

http://stealthbastard.com/

"Stealth games are awesome. Hiding from The Man, skulking in shadows, the thrill of the unseen infiltration. But why do they have to be so... slow?

Introducing Stealth Bastard: stealth, with a great big kick up the arse. A fast-paced, frenetic, one-step-away-from-chunky-death melange of sneaking, platforming, hacking and cursing. A whole lot of fun. It's like Metal Gear Solid and Super Meat Boy had a baby out of wedlock. Semi-literally.

Jump, sneak, and be horribly dismembered through 28 levels hand-crafted by our crack team of in-house design geniuses, some of the same folk behind the critically-acclaimed Fluidity/Hydroventure, and the retro-styled PSN platformer Explodemon!.

And once you're done with those? Fear not - Stealth Bastard includes a FULL in-game level editor - the same we used to create the bundled levels - and even allows you to share, play and rate the community's creations from across the world.

And if you thought that was cool, we've not even got to the best bit yet: Stealth Bastard is free. Not 'freemium'. Completely free.

Endless fun. Zero cost. What are you waiting for?"

That looks great!
Hopefully it will be as fun as it looks :) Thanks for the info about this game.
Nitronic Rush

http://nitronic-rush.com/

"Nitronic Rush is an experimental survival driving game developed by students at DigiPen Institute of Technology. Using the car’s many abilities (including boost, wings, and jump), avoid obstacles that the city throws at you. In many ways the game is a tribute to racing games of the 1990′s, but with fresh graphics, audio, and gameplay."
Any chance of having my own game added to the list?
