Tannath: Street Rod 1 & 2. A couple of racing games released for Amiga, DOS and Commodore 64 back in 1989/1991. Released as freeware in 2014.

From its Wikipedia page:
"Equipped with a garage and a small amount of cash, you buy a used car from the classifieds in a newspaper and embark on a journey to rise through the ranks by winning races against other racers. Using money you earn through races, you can modify your car and winning enough races earns you the right to challenge The King for his position."
hell yeah those games kicked ass.

kusumahendra: I wonder if anyone ever played these

Paranoia 1 and 2, two free games made using xash3d engine (goldsource free clone)
http://www.moddb.com/mods/paranoia
http://www.moddb.com/games/paranoia-2-savior

Also, Stalker Lost Alpha is kinda free games, can be played without owning any stalker games

I played the first Paranoia mod many years ago. It's in the spirit of the STALKER series, with its Eastern European/Russian roots creating a spooky atmosphere. Being built in GoldSource, it's quite impressive what the team was able to create, especially with the lighting. Most of the game takes place in derelict bunkers, much like the underground labs of STALKER. I'll have to check out the second one.
Well, not a free game, but a DEMO for : Goetia

Play the first hour of the game - if you reach 100% done! Meet Abigail & explore a few rooms of Blackwood manor… and gather some clues about the history. Don’t miss any hints, they’re all important in Goetia!

Demo available in english and french, for Mac and PC.:
https://sushee.itch.io/goetia

Goetia is a point-and-click adventure game for PC & Mac – and, as in any adventure game, you'll be seeking out clues, finding objects, and figuring out how to use or combine them in order to progress through the different areas, puzzles and encounters. However, there is one major difference compared to other adventure games that you might be used to. In Goetia, you play the part of Abigail, the ghost of a young lady. And as a ghost, you can walk through walls and fly through ceilings, you can explore everywhere as you see fit. But… to manipulate objects, you'll have to possess them, just like a real poltergeist would. And once you possess an object, you can't pass through walls anymore.
Please VOTE if you like the game and want it in your GOG library:

I voted, but probably a hopeless vote. From their replies on Kickstarter:

About Steam: as we said earlier, as we signed with Square Enix Collective, Goetia will not be DRM-free. There are other platforms where you can get Goetia (Humble Store, Green Man Gaming, Square Enix Store), but they all use Steam, and we only deliver Steam keys.
Oh, well, there are lots of other games to play, and lots of other developers who want (and deserve) my money.
If the game is good, we'll maybe find it after 10 years in an Insomnia sale.

Thanks for the answer.

The Curse of Issyos

A game by: Locomalito
Music and FX: Gryzor87
Promo art: Marek Barej

Genre: Action platformer
Release: 15/12/2015
Development: 12 months
Platforms: Windows, ???
The epic quest of a fisherman to save his daughter from the Hades
The plot: Defkalion was fishing on a quiet blue sea when he heard the voice of the Goddess Athena. Hurry up, she said, the isle of Issyos has been cursed by the Olympus. And so, fearing for his daughter and only family left, the fisherman sails back to his home, where the adventure is about to begin.

The game: The Curse of Issyos is a retro styled action platformer with nothing but the usual in an old 8 bit game: a bunch of enemies and bosses, both straight and exploration levels, some secrets to discover and a background story of Greek myths. It doesn't try to mimic a retro system in particular, but it is coherent with it's own limitations in the use of colors, sprites and chip sounds. The soundtrack has been composed by Gryzor87 using Pixel Amaya's PX Tone....
<span class="bold">Awake</span>

<span class="bold">Dead Man's Crossing</span>

On a clear night when the wind is low the townsfolk of Dead Man’s Crossing hear the Ghost Train chattering its way down the tracks… over… and over again...

The ghost train is stuck in limbo, reliving its last moments. Over and over again it crashes, over and over again it restarts its final journey. Can you solve each of the passenger’s problems and finally rest in peace?

<span class="bold">The Man From Fugue State</span>

Soon he finds himself caught up in a plot to defeat the outlaw once and for all. But who is this stranger and why is the mysterious El Marcado so interested in Tumbleweed?

Players get to enjoy:

A Spaghetti Western themed game world
Dynamic locations that change over the course of the story
A story jam packed with satirical jokes that due to slow development are no longer topical
Five chapters worth of witty, concise and original content
A superb soundtrack provided by a wealth of talented composers
Traditional point and click adventure game featuring a verb coin interface.

<span class="bold">Transmissions: Element 120</span>

It has been quite some time since I last played a Half-Life mod. Transmissions: Element 120 is a great short experience, it a has a few horror moments, some interesting puzzles and a fun combat with the altered gravity gun.
The game does not require any of the source games in order to play, and it's available on both Windows and Linux.
