On the 3rd of August, the Swine National Army invaded CarrotLand, home of the Rabbit nation. The poor Rabbits were defeated within two weeks, only a small pack survived and is now planning the counterstrike.

S.W.I.N.E. is a real-time strategy game in a 3D environment, similar to Emperor: Battle for Dune but with a humorous twist. In S.W.I.N.E., you do not command humans or robots but - as the name suggests - animal armies.

In the first campaign, you are to command the Rabbit forces in their nearly hopeless battle against the evil Swine. The second - and much harder - campaign lets you lead the mighty army of the Swine. You cannot build anything on the battlefield - you select your units before you start the mission. You can take special repair units with you which can recover damaged and even dead units on the fly - for a cost, of course.

There are over 6000 speech samples for the Swine and Rabbit soldiers who comment on anything they see or do. When you blast something up, it'll explode in a colourful firework - there's no violence involved. There are 22 missions (11 for each campaign) and 10 additional multi-player maps, as well as three difficulty settings.

MechWarrior 4: Mercanaries

A superb mech simulator for the PC. MechWarrior 4 is the last title of the original MechWarrior series. You can pilot the famous Battlemechs from the small armor suits up to the 100 tons assault class warmachines.

The Mercanaries is the free version of the MechWarrior 4: Vengeance, including the expansion packs and community mods. Since the original site of MekTek taken down the MechWarrior 4 page, I just can link some offsite sources.

Bootfighter Windom XP SP-2

It is a freeware TPS arena shooter game based on the Virtual-On series, as well the console exclusive Gundam vs. games. Has excelent gameplay, option to add your own musics, and you can make pilots (even from you own voice if you're not shy). It is fast paced, and has responsible easy controls. It has local split-screen and online multiplayer mode with its own server software.

There are an upgraded version of the game, called Ultimate Knight Windom XP, but that is not freeware.

Half-Line Miami is a video game mashup between Half-Life 2 and Hotline Miami.

I made this game as a declaration of my love for these 2 games, and as an experiment in game design.

I can't believe I never posted it here, I've been playing it for years. Bricks is a remake of the Polish 'Klocki' game. The original game was a small wooden board that could be arranged into several puzzles. The goal of the game is to move the red master brick to a certain position. Sounds easy but it is a real brain teaser since you get more points if you need fewer moves. Freeware, Windows only.

The Apocalyptic Game About Pinguins

So what is this game about? It is an apocalyptic game about... you already know it. It is a Contra or Metal Slug like shooter, where you play as the hero pinguin to save the world. Cybernetic and Terminator pinguins, mechs, vehicles, brainwashed foot soldiers, and destructive weaponry. This is the TAGAP.

It has two released game, and a third under construction. All of them are freeware.

It is an extremely lightweight game. Little Fighter 2 is the sequel to the DOS game Little Fighter. Other than the graphics and compatibility, the most notable change is the genre. Instead of a fighter, this game is a true beat 'em up. You play through stages, fight against hordes of enemies, set free hostages, and take on strong bosses. The cast is diverse, and every character has its own set of moves.

If you know the old game, those game modes available in this one too. You can fight against seven other combatant in an arena either free for all or in teams. There is tournament mode for competitions and battle mode for large scale warfares.

The game can be played through net. Sadly only one server and one client allowed, but on both side up to four people can play on a single computer. There is a 3rd party mod for the game which can connect up to 4 people at the same time to the same server.
