I still own most of my big box games, I bought them back in 1999-2000. I did sell some of them once and I regret it now that I'm old enough to appreciate them.

Some of them are:

Metal Gear Solid
Screamer 2 and Screamer Rally
LoK: Soul Reaver
Shadow Warrior
Total Mania (also known as Total Mayhem)
VR Sports Powerboat Racing
Wipeout + Wipeout 2097
Pitfall - The Mayan Adventure

The list was less than 20 but I played them more than today's games.

@djdarko: Impressive collection you have, especially the D&D ones.

"Civil War" is still shrinkwrapped! Is that to keep the smell of gunpowder fresh?
Lucky you l0rdtr3k! Enjoy it.
Makes me wonder what happened to my NES and Sega Genesis collection... :'(

l0rdtr3k: Holy crap,I was helping my mom with cleaning up my house and I just stumbled upon my PC gaming collection from my teens, going all the way back to the early 2000's.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait wait WAIT... just a minute... let me get this straight.

You were helping YOUR mom, clean up YOUR house.

There's a funny in there somewhere, I'm just not sure what it is. Somebody help me out.

but i remember playing ground control lovely game
I've been playing these games and I've been thinking. Why does AAA games from those days were SO much better then what we have nowadays? I'm sure I'm nostalgia blinded, but I can't think of anything but this.

Because they had to put real effort and creativity for a triple A game back then. In this current generation climate the requirements to be labeled as a triple A game is too damn easy =P
And also because all the triple A industry care about is "graphkx graphkx graphkx" and appealing to the lowest common denominator.

Wish i would clean my house and find a big box copy of Falcon 4.0 complete with it's bulky manual lying somewhere! Or GP500 (from Microprose)! Or Nascar 2003 Racing Season (from Papyrus)! Or... OK, i shut up! :P :D
