I have reconsidered my previous unvote and have decided to stick to my guns and vote stuart9001.

There seems to be a lot of smoke and mirrors here about lurking vs non-lurking and who is or is not voting, which I think is distracting us from the real goal, sniff out the scum.

What? Seriously? You want Zchinque lynched? I am not saying he can't be scum but lynching him because he tries to make people to play is just stupid.

Need to do a proper read later as not been following this game too closely. Just slimmed the last few pages in effort to get up to speed.

Zchinque seems to have a knack for attracting votes. Though i'm not sure why as all he seems to be doing is trying to get the game moving. Is like game 2 all over again. As for lynching a lurker think everyones guilty of that due to holidays.

@Crazybear you said you weren't sure enough to vote Stuart, what changed your mind?

@Joe why do you suspect Muttly?

Well, I want him lynched because while active and encouraging activity he is also generally being secretive and uncooperative. He doesn't really seem to care who is lynched, mafia don't really care who is lynched so long as it isn't a mafia.

While the playstyle can be helpful if he is town, it's also incredibly dangerous. If he is mafia it makes it incredibly difficult to get a read. We don't have any real information to go on during the first day, so lynching playstyles you consider harmful to town is a good way to find possible scum.

Or maybe its the fact that I am at least analysing posts and trying to decide if they are scummy and doing this publicly that is suspicious?

The only reason I can see for your vote is "he voted for me". At least my vote for you was based on a reason related to your post, it wasn't even serious, just prodding you to see what fell out, but it still had a stated reason.

How about taking the time to say why I am suspicious, or to give your views on Zchinque's tactics or Vitek's voting the same way without saying why, or maybe Joe's lack of thoughts in his posts, just lots of questions, or something/.

My theory on your vote is this, with time running out and the talk turning to "lynch a lurker" a person whose last post was 5 days ago and the post prior to that 10 days ago may be getting a bit panicky and feel the need to post something.

Well, this is frustrating. I have read through the posts back and forth and have found nothing else to comment on...

However, I do think that voting for Zchinque is a bad move - at least he is able to get people to talk a bit. As I read the voting map, there are 3 people voting for Zchinque because of his use of unorthodox methods, and 5 people voting for lurking of some sort.

so, in an attempt to get the game moving, a couple of questions if you may:
@Red-Baron - What are your thoughts about Zchinque keeping his vote on nmillar?

@Joe - What do you think about stuart and Crazybear?

Hehe, you can llynch me now! I wasn't lynched in 2011 at all. I was night-killed 3 times and survived 4 times but was never killed. Yay! Let's celebrate!

@Stuart; Have you read any previous game with Day 1 deadline? Each time we run into deadline and had to lynch someone and it turned out bad. So I can understand why someone is pushing people into some action. It can turn out wrong too but there is at least more time for people to pick thier desired target than go with only wagon possible.

Just finished my read through, seems theres been quite a bit happening. Still processing it but wanted to post initial thoughts as deadline is looming.

Zchnique seems to be trying to move the game forward. Though not sure what to make of his vote for Nmillar.

Joe seems to have just been asking questions. Along with having a fixation on Muttly.

Red Baron voted quickly after Joe asked him who the first night kill might be. Probably just a coincidence.

Vitek's vote for Nmillar sticks out as didn't give a reason. Though later said it was because of inactivity.

Couldn't get a read on Nmillar or Robbeasy. So vote Robbeasy

well - my pleas have been answered, and the deadline extended.

What I didnt see happening was a bandwagon forming on me because I voted for Zchinque!! As I said at the time, that was done purely as the deadline was looming and something had to be done. I wasn't the only one to vote for him, yet i seem to have been singled out.

I also explained the reasons for 'lurking' - I find Anyone using this as an excuse to vote for someone over the xmas period as scummy . Its well known hardly ANYONE has been around, yet more than one person has used that as a stick to beat me with as well...odd that.

We have until the 6th now, but now I'm able to devote a little more time to this (family have gone to inlaws giving me an afternoon to myself today - yay!!).

Muttley - I cannot believe you have cited lurking as a reason for voting over the xmas period. It stinks my friend. And then to ignore all my reasoning and reasons for voting Zchinque - even though i said it was incredibly flimsy and only done as I had to do SOMETHING with the deadline looming - and using that as a further pointer - is false logic at its very worst.

But meh - whats more interesting is who's jumped on the wagon - Stuart, Itai, and most recently Pazzer. Pazzers is brilliant - you cant get a read on me, and thats a reason to vote for me??? OMGUS is the only phrase that springs to mind, I'm afraid.

Unvote Zchinque - i accept the reasoning that as one of the few players to push the game aloing, he shouldn't be voted for. In hindsight, my vote for him was wrong. Unlike many people who play the game, I will admit when my reasoning isn't perhaps 100% (many who have played Mafia with me before will know this happens quite a lot).

I just cant believe lurking is being levelled as a reason for lynching, with the xmas period happening. It stinks of Mafia trying to desperately get a bandwagon formed.

New years is over, so I request that you at the least prod people for the remainder of the day.

nmillar in particular has yet to post anything relating to the game, and I'm getting pretty fed up with it.

@Vitek: I am not disputing the fact that the game needs pushing along or that action needs to be taken, I am just asking does a person who has only posted 3 times in 12 days, prior to his last post 2 days ago, really have a right to demand that action?

It just seems a little hypocritical to me, especially as some of us have been posting (or at least trying to) once a day, to generate content.

I am also struggling a bit with the sentiment that has evolved that a person who is trying to move things on is also pro-town, despite their previous actions

@crazybear: What is it in your "gut" that makes you suspicious? You might get a few other people to agree with you if you can make a cogent argument. "the way you any after my post" I'm not totaly sure what this means but I assume it just supports my theory that you vote is simply because I voted for you. Misquoting, do you mean the way I missed out a bit of your post because it was not relevant to my argument? Care to count how many times (by other people not just me) the word snip has been used so far? Or small sections of other peoples posts? Are all these misquotes too?

You can answer or not, I don't really care that much, it is other people you need to convince if you want me lynched. At the moment your accusation is a bit light on evidence.

@pazzer: Zchinque may indeed be trying to move the game on but do you thing his actions are town or anti-town?

In the UK, Tuesday is the first normal day (Monday is the new year public holiday).
I saide I would not prod anyone until the deadline, which was set for 11pm Tuesday.
At this point, anyone that needs a prod will get one.

@Rob basically the same question I've addressed to Pazzer, does trying to push the game along now make Zchinque's past action less anti-town? Or did you not find it anti-town at the time.
