adaliabooks: Me - honestly not entirely sure what I've done that was so scummy. Talked too much, in favour of flubs lynch and maybe pushed a little hard at mchack seems to sum it up.

mchack - basically spent the entire day trying to get me lynched and his arguments are full of holes. Doesn't necessarily make him scum, I've been there and done that as town myself, but I do get a strong feeling he is scum.

trent - main suspicion seems to stem from his stated intention to vote me and then didn't, before swapping to the flub wagon which he was completely opposed to. Other flags is the whole suspecting he will be killed in the night (why? He's one of the last people I'd expect to get NK'd) and giving up (which aligns with his scum meta a little)

flub - no suspicion at all. May be scum playing a very clever game but is almost certainly vanilla town. Needs to be removed to clear any doubts over his alignment in the future.
ok, I didn't want to look today but curiosity got the better of me.

I'll make it short but this is what I'll say: trent's wagon is wrong and will not help clear anything up of the whole day when he flips town. The same is true for flubs wagon.

The only two flips that help put this whole day into perspective is me and adalia. Vote for who you think is scummier and lynch either of us. I won't put up a defense, I won't claim anything. I wouldn't believe any claim by adalia.

Lynch either of us and don't let tomorrow be clouded and fogged by not knowing, which of us was town.
Looks like mchack decided to transform his posting restriction from:
"I will not double post again!"
to:
"I will not post again!".

mchack: [...] he has a lot of weird quotes like: [...]

It could, but then I can think of at least two other ways it can be read, and none of them makes "playing ahead for the conversion" a horrible idea.

mchack: [...] Been trying for hours now to work through hsls last post but it's so convoluted the stuff they accuse you of, you have to click 5 times until you see the beginning of an argument and then work your way back to see where, who said what exactly. [...]
Did anyone expect you, let alone force you, to give up your sleep in order to reply to me or anyone else? You could have done it anytime today.

More to the point - interesting how you had no trouble finding, linking and quoting posts to support your arguments, post after post for days now, yet when put under scrutiny again, checking posts that don't proves such an insurmountable obstacle.

hmm. wednesday. maybe or maybe not. will only be nightkilled anyway for being a bother. [...] I'm out.
I've been watching you ever since the initial heat on you eased up. Up till then, you could be read both ways. Once out of the defensive, you dominated the thread, going the full offensive route, addressing just about everything posted and doing an incredible amount of legwork to support every bit of argument you made. Much like you did in game #31, and in the same, often overplayed naive, tone. And when cornered a bit too tightly, we get this. So, yes:

Vote mchack

avatar
dedoporno: [...] Huh?! How did that happen and when? [...]
A little voice keeps whispering in my ear that it looks like an attempt to make his scum-list appear less OMGUS-y.

avatar
dedoporno: [...] Like trent, right?
I know, right? But to be fair, they don't necessarily need to be town to be NK-ed in this setup.
avatar
mchack: Lynch either of us and don't let tomorrow be clouded and fogged by not knowing, which of us was town.
While I do tend to agree that lynching either of us makes more sense, you are conveniently missing the option that both of us could be scum. Either one of us flipping scum does not exonerate the other in this game.

I actually think you really believe that I will flip scum, and that you are banking on that for 'town points' tomorrow, despite the fact it doesn't in anyway clear you.

I on the other hand expect you to flip scum but don't expect it to effect anyone elses opinion of me.

And since there seems to be a reasonable chance of this going through now;

Unvote flubbucket (sorry flub, I tried. Hope your still town tomorrow)
Vote mchack
I will not double post again!

yes I do. I do believe you will flip scum. And I hope you'll flip soon.
as for me. I know I'm not flipping scum, so I couldn't care less for town points.

Nice 3 people from my scumlist, voting me already. Have fun explaining it away tomorrow :)
go-on @bookwyrm you are missing a party.

Leonard03: [...] He later said it was because adalia was talking too much... not really a great reason in my book. [...]
Yeah, well, you've yet to state your great reason, so there's that.
But did he really? I read something about the implication behind talking too much.

avatar
Leonard03: [...] Well in post 317 he takes some shots at you.
Post 380 casts some shadows on trentonlf.
Post 429 uses myself as an example of someone a bunch of people might find scummy. Not too hard to read between the lines there. [...]
Is expressing suspicion of others something only scum do? Since when is being suspicious of more than one person, more so on D1, a scum-tell? You yourself expressed suspicion of two others besides adaliabooks; apply your own logic, and you're no doubt scum.

But I'll play along and give you the first two. However, including his post #429 in that list is stretching it by miles to make facts fit a theory.

avatar
Leonard03: [...] I didn't say he was trying to fight his own lynch, at least not in so many words. Trying to deflect suspicion has the same net result. [...]
How was he trying to deflect suspicion when he consistently argues, over and over again, about the benefit of lynching flubbucket? That's what has his firmest opposition voting him for.

Bookwyrm627: If you have specific questions about specific posts from Dedo, please indicate them. In the meantime, I'll take this as a request for some of Dedo's posts that bothered me.

Post 223 (focus on the self-preservation and the "Why didn't you when it got your attention?").
I believe post 242 was the one that got me the most. The framing of it, and all of it taken together, bothered me. [...]
I was interested in seeing what sort of things bothered you, thanks.

avatar
Hunter65536: [...] @HSL It’s the only one which leaves town wondering what the scum night action was, if they both go for nk then town will know that flub has not been recruited. [...]
If you noticed, I spoke of scum, and didn't distinguish between scum teams. I'd rather not go more into it.

I see that adaliabooks already covered the bit in mchack's latest post, and flawed logic behind it, that got my attention, so no need to go over it again.

Vote mchack
I think that none of those on trentonlf's and mchack's wagons are averse to switching to flubbucket, if we agree it's the better choice going forward; I'm still debating with myself.
avatar
mchack: go-on @bookwyrm you are missing a party.
That party isn't big enough for me to put down the hammer. I'm kind of thinking I'll leave this wagon when I can trade it in for a cold, dead body. It's been so long since I've caused a cold, dead body... :(

In the meantime, here's a video of me.

I'm still waiting on trent's explanation.
Only if no other choice possible and we risk a no-lynch will I switch to flub. In the hope he's either scum, or will flip town which will save him from recruitment. Because at the moment I'm seriously not sure what to do.
I will not double post again!

lol. busted scum. now you are getting cold feet and want to jump wagons to save you skin?
and to lynch someone that you know is town but think you won't be held accountable for in lynching?
no this is muddying the waters. There is only one choice that will shed light on this near 600 post D1. Either me or adalia.

you made your choice. no going back into hiding now.

You will not like my answer and it’s probably going to get me lynched, but at this point it doesn’t really matter.

My vote on flub was because I was being petty and was like f**k I don’t care anymore. Since it seems the way to make a point is with a story here’s one for you:

Two friends are talking, Bob and Fred, and Bob mentions to Fred that later that evening he’s going to see a movie. Fred gets all excited and says “I just saw that movie last night, it was great! It’s too bad the father dies in the beginning, but that’s ok since the son gets his revenge later”. Now Bob is like WTF, why should I even go see this movie now since Fred told me part of the movie instead of letting me experience on my own. Now since Fred decided to reveal part of the movie to Bob it takes away from Bob’s pleasure of seeing the movie, and Fred made the decision to reveal part of the movie without thinking of Bob’s feelings on the matter. So now Bob is just annoyed and feels cheated on experiencing the movie on his own.

That story is how this Day 1 feels to me, I feel cheated and like I didn’t even have a choice in the matter. After thinking it over last night my honest opinion is at this point who we lynch doesn’t even matter because I think the 4 choices are all town. So now once again because someone decides to take matters into their own hands and attempt to make a move on Day 1 instead of letting it play out (and yes Day 1’s suck with how they drag) we will probably lynch a townie and scum is loving it.

I also don’t think it would have even mattered in the long run if a Mason was lynched today as long as the progression of how the lynched happened was natural, and I don’t think today’s lynch has progressed naturally at all.

Lynch me if you want, doesn’t really matter at this point I don’t think.

Unvote adalia
Vote Fred or Bob or maybe no one

trentonlf: Lynch me if you want, doesn’t really matter at this point I don’t think.
Annoying.

Thinking back through your posts, your explanation is actually plausible. It does fit. It does explain many, if not all, of my issues with your play. It also fits your meta.

But, think on this: Are you part of the solution, or are you part of the problem?

Unvote: trentonlf
Vote: flubbucket
avatar
trentonlf: my honest opinion is at this point who we lynch doesn’t even matter because I think the 4 choices are all town.
Wait, you're saying adalia is town? But you said, and quite emphatically, that he's scum. That's the reason I found your vote suspicious in the first place.

I will wait to see how the other adalia/mchack wagon situation unfolds and decide if I change my vote to the winner there, since it appears we are running out of time, but for the moment I'll stay here.

This is where I’m legitimately stumped though, from my perspective it seems like both mchack and adalia are doing the same thing with opposing viewpoints. Am I missing something wrt mchack? Is my scumdar broken?

yeah, me too.
but right now. not so much. Been trying for hours now to work through hsls last post but it's so convoluted the stuff they accuse you of, you have to click 5 times until you see the beginning of an argument and then work your way back to see where, who said what exactly. @HSL I can't really answer without getting impolite. (and I don't want to, because I like you) But this post is a huge load of ...
just vote already, vote me or trent or flubs and live with the flip
and be judged by it from the townies.

@Wyrm hope these "expendable troops" get you.

We only need 7 to lynch. We are 8 town. it shouldn't be such a problem to lynch scum. But if town rather lynches town why even bother.

adalia
dedo (I'm not so sure about him anymore)
bookwyrm

trentonlf: I had no desire to post anymore until Day 2, but I wanted to say that your scum list is the exact same list I made earlier today after doing another read of the thread. Didn’t you say earlier that you wouldn’t expect to make it to d2?

But, think on this: Are you part of the solution, or are you part of the problem?

Unvote: trentonlf
Vote: flubbucket
I attempted to be part of the solution and not try to lynch who I felt was a townie, as has mchack. Even flub and adalia are doing what they feel are part of the solution. And I think it’s gotten us to the point of 4 townies as possible lynches instead of a possible scum lynch.

@ZFR as I said I thought about it over night and changed my mind, I don’t see scum adalia making himself such a big target on Day 1. He’s done it before as scum and he’s too smart a player to do it again. I could be comepletely wrong and adalia is scum like I thought, but my gut is saying he’s not. Put me on the line right now and I would say he scum players are dedo, Hyper, bookwyrm, and either Sage or Krypsyn. But then I get it wrong more than I get it right so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
