Bookwyrm627: Then I remembered just how often you tend to end up scum or dead by Day 2, so perhaps you don't remember how it is. Also, you really did roll scum again in your first game back.
Even more hilarious, we both rolled scum. Again. At this point it just makes sense to lynch both of us in any game we're both in... I think I've only played one game with Krypsyn where we weren't both scum, and I'm not even sure that's true.

@Hyper
Oops, got a bit over excited.
It's up to town really. I'm happy to randomly pick someone to become scum, but it's a bit of a bum deal for them and it may as well be a new game at that point. I think Krypsyn blowing both our covers in one fell swoop kind of makes it null and void, town win. But I'm not going to be the one playing.

@Krypsyn
Funnily enough I thought you were a mason day 1 too. Had you leaning scum today though, mainly 50 / 50 with ZFR though because I knew Bookwyrm and Hyper weren't likely to be scum.

HypersomniacLive: That's in direct conflict with your earlier rule #3, though.
Yes... and I explained it. Since you missed the point, I will spell it out again, in a different manner.

I want people to have a vote on someone constantly (or most of the time, at least) in Mafia games. It annoys me when they do not. So, I want a system that forces someone to vote for someone else, but I don't want them to subvert it by voting for everyone (thus making the rule meaningless). Voting for everyone essentially means voting for nobody (and, before you suggest it, I didn't vote for everyone on Day 1, and my reasons were not to subvert any rules of the game). So, while I am generally fine with people voting early and often, I had to add a fail-safe to make sure the spirit of the rule was followed.

Do you understand? Do I need to explain again using more different words?

So, Day 4, right back to a Day 1 setup (sort of). x.x

-----

So Krypsyn and Adalia are both scum. The next two lynches are basically decided (Adalia and Krypsyn, in some order).

Assuming they are both telling the truth, we'll have a 4v1, with only 3 lynch candidates. Scum would have to survive 2 lynches to win.

On the flip side, is one of Krypsyn or Adalia trying to bluff us.

Eh. Adalia's team deserves the chance more. Sorry Dedo!

Vote Krypsyn.

Always a possibility.

Seems fair to me.

I think he was planning to do a similar thing as I did. Although, I think he was planning to claim Mutant instead, to try to really muddy the waters further. ;)

Krypsyn: [...] Especially now since adaliabooks says he was going to NK trentonlf Night 3. [...]
How can you be sure he's being truthful?

Krypsyn: [...] I think I would have attempted to recruit ZFR or you. [...]
Heh, I thought you were feeling ZFR out.

Also, going back a bit, I assume that you thought that my follow up on my initial questions meant I was looking closer into you. Why didn't you wait to see if I was going to make a case against you?

avatar
Krypsyn: [...] I just don't know if I have the patience or temperament for GOG Mafia anymore. :(
Ah come on, don't leave again, you just returned, man.

I understood your post #1141 just fine, and I was not going to suggest anything; I'm well aware that you didn't vote for everyone on D1, and that you weren't trying to subvert the rules.

It's just that [emphasis added] "If everyone voted every time they posted, it would be awesome" read to me as placing a new vote with each post, and not as what you're saying here about having being on record as having a vote on someone constantly. Curious, why does it bother you so much when people don't?

HypersomniacLive: Why didn't you wait to see if I was going to make a case against you?
I was bored.

Oh, they can vote for the same person or vote for a different person each time in the 'vote every post' scenario. Just as long as I know who they are stating they think is the most scummy at any given time (or, at least pressuring).

I like votes better than rhetoric, because they are firmer. They are harder to talk your way out of (hence my way of doing vote-counts). You can still say that you changed your mind, or whatever, but you can't simple say that you mistyped your vote, or meant it a different way.

Krypsyn: However, the game was driving me nuts. The only reason I had kept it together so far is because I wanted to at least try for dedoporno. With him dead, I am content with knowing I could have pulled it off; I don't need to play it through to see.
Krypsyn, I wish in that case you had exited gracefully: ask Lift for a replacement. Or just get modkilled. This is disrespectful towards others' time.

Call it "silly" but I was enjoying my first game here and did put much effort into it for these past two weeks.. Had I lost, so what? I still had fun time. But now even if I win, this game is still going to leave a bitter taste in my mouth. Because I don't know if I would have taken out adalia without you outing him.

adalia, well played and thank you for the game. Please enjoy your work/going away with your partner, and don't bother with this game any more than you have to.
And again with the skipping questions...

Well then, you must have been extremely bored; you must have anticipated I'd do it today, and, funnily enough, I actually did about the same time you outed yourself.

I suppose you'll appreciate this then.

Vote Krypsyn
EBWOP addandum.

Also, about voting vs. rhetoiric: one makes the Day most likely move and end faster, the other often prolongs it. Having just rjetoric, without a vote, just adds more fuel for conversation, which tend to start a new circle of rehashing the points made in the original post.

I have no problem with rhetoric, per se; that is a huge aspect of the game. I just would want a vote to be included as well, because that moves the game closer to lynch. As the cliche goes 'talk is cheap'.

avatar
ZFR: Because I don't know if I would have taken out adalia without you outing him.
Which, as I have already stated, was one of my two reasons for claiming. Whether you like it or not is largely irrelevant.

Basically. You guys get to play another mini mafia game inside this one.

Though to make it fair the masons should really claim so which ever one of us doesn't get lynched doesn't die failing to convert someone.

And thanks, I guess XD

HypersomniacLive: Well then, you must have been extremely bored
Yes. This way is awesome. A lynch happened WAY before a deadline could be set!

Best. Present. Ever.

I kind of agree (I'm a bit annoyed that he's spoiled my first scum game I actually had a chance of winning) but replacing out mid game isn't great either, not when you don't have to.
The irony is if it had come down to it I planned to sacrifice myself to aid the other scum team in winning because I'd rather they did then town, even though they shot Hunter day 1.

To be honest a lot of games here end in anti climax one way or another. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have won this one even without Krypsyn's interference, though I was doing pretty well.

Thank you, you too. I hope you play again, you did really well.

You killed dedoporno. This I could not forgive.
