Almost forgot this one, which is strange considering how often it came up in discussion between people I used to interact with somewhat regularly.

Of course, a company did make actual Brawndo eventually. One of the people I mention managed to get a can and his assessment of it was "it tastes like SweeTarts in a can".

Some of the other ads in Idiocracy are pretty funny as well but they're more along parody than they are fictional due to the fact that they just riff on actual real world ads (Carl's Jr.: "F**k you, I'm eating!", etc.).

The public service announcements in Starship Troopers are always good for a laugh, and a deleted scene from Terminator 3 showing a corporate advertising film explaining where the T-101's iconic appearance came from is worth watch just for the accents.

"Shrine Maiden's Sake" from Your Name is one of my favorites. I had a nice, deep, belly laugh when it flashed on screen completely unexpectedly. The product is strange, but not so weird that I wouldn't believe it couldn't be sold, and the advertisement itself is just... wow.

For a bit of context: The film features a special type of sake made from rice that has been fermented after being chewed by a shrine maiden; needless to say, the characters recognize the perversion potential.

I love the commercial for "The Stuff" in the movie The Stuff. Here's a snippet. It's longer in the movie, along with the great line "can't get enoughhhhh... OF THE STUFF!"

The blu-ray from Arrow Video loops this song on the menu and it's very addictive.
