yaleblor: what we need to do is make it profitable for bethesda to sell fo4 here on gog
Bethesda might change their mind now that Steam has refunds. At least in regards to their older stock, but when it comes to Fallout 4 there’s not much to be done except to follow adamhm’s advice and contact Bethesda directly asking for a GoG release. Or start a petition? It worked for Dark Souls.

markrichardb: That can be remedied.

Oh sh- covert death threat all up on yo face, son!

tinyE: With your mental powers you couldn't keep it a secret? See that's why I never use you in FF and as soon as El Diablo shows up I chuck your ass back into the base! :D
I don’t blame you. El Diablo throws apocalyptic city-destroying fiery balls of death at his enemies, and I… think really hard at them. Still, it could be worse. *Looks at Sea Urchin*
Fallout 4 another console to PC port :(

I was reading that the new boss man at Microsoft doesn't want anymore xbox's made, so xbone could be the last. Now all we need is for playstation to die as well..

oh no...

I have no problems with consoles really, just wish they would make the ports better. how hard is it to program a UI just for PC.
I have really enjoyed the Fallout franchise from the first until now. That being said, I bought New Vegas without realizing that Steam was required for it. I don't like that model and would buy Fallout 4 at release if it were available on GOG. I vote with my $$$. I do not buy things on Steam because I disagree with the model, but agree that it is a good library manager for those who do not know how to navigate folders on their hard drive.
If you dislike steam, but want the game, there is one other way of obtaining it...
Besides that, not much you can do. Contact Bethesda (unfortunately they don't give a damn to our oppinion), vote for the game here:
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/fallout_4
And pray that they change their mind about GOG, some day. Maybe some day.

I did just that after I had gotten New Vegas. I never received a response, so I am sure that they didn't/don't care.
You know what I don't get. People on this forum have complained endlessly about every Bethesda game since Morrowind to the point it is very very clear that it's very much hated. Yet they are blowing up over the release platform for the new Fallout and Doom games. If they don't intend to play them, why care?!

I've seen just as much (if not more) praise for Bethesda games than I have criticism for their games here...but that's just me, and I definitely haven't seen "endless" complaining about their stuff (unless you count me multiple times, ha). If you want to see actual hate (and some darn fine points) about Bethesda's modern stuff then head on over to the RPG Codex.

What are you on about? it's endless on here. Mention one of their games or the company name it attracts people like flies to shit. I just don't get it.

What am I on about? What are YOU on about? There are plenty of posts here dedicating to telling the virtues of Oblivion/Fallout 3/Skyrim, naming them the best games of their genre and time. Not to mention that if you make even the slightest criticism towards a Bethesda game you'll either get an essay length reply in defense of Bethesda within a day from one of about five members who seemingly do a daily check for the keyword "Bethesda" or your criticism will be dismissed under the "nostalgia" defense, regardless of what your criticism is or if you've actually played the game that you're supposedly nostalgia blinded by.

Like I said, if you want to see actual "hate" towards Bethesda go on over to the RPG Codex and try and say that Oblivion/Fallout 3/Skyrim are good games. Ha.

Riiight, sure you're talking about the same board?! In fact, don't reply to that!

Not really. Elder scrolls are high profile games, once in a while someone create a thread asking a question about any of those, then everyone inclined to do so give their opinion.
So, after some time you read the same things, noting to be surprised about.
Now saying the same people praise the games, hate beth, complain about fallouts missing, mock the future zenimax platform is a bit of a stretch.

Have you considered the wacky notion that the people moaning about the release platform are not the same people who dislike Bethesda's games?

That prospect is getting grimmer with their future client plans. :-)
Not to mention the reality of cross-platforming.
In fact, the new platform annoncement really put into question ('again') the future of modding ; which was thought as something granted not long ago. The route things are following now doesn't seem to lead anywhere near an 'open world'.
So, Fallout 4 mods will be playable on the Xbone, taking away one of the perrenial advantages of PC gaming (just announced at the MS news conference). Is this the first real sign of the oft mentioned but never materializing "death of PC gaming"?
Who cares? It will be a shit game.
