I could never end this game. It´s something i always wanted to finish, but for some reason or other i have to leave it to another day.

ThePunishedSnake: Why? Easy.
Because release those "remastered" editions require basically ZERO work or money for SH, being a money printing machine.
PC Gaming is now a reality, I'm pretty sure a lot of people that played Heavy Rain or Beyond will now buy this game blind, just because is a Quantic Dream title.

Create a remastered game requires a lot of less work compared to create a brand new title. You can do easy money with that.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure this will reach consollt too, maybe bundled with Beyond PS4 remake.

djdarko: Good point - is this coming to PS4 etc? The could definitely sell some copies from reputation alone, especially if they add trophies to it. They should do the same for Omikron as well.
They didn't announce it yet, but I bet it will be on consolle too, bundled with Beyond PS4.
Some questions guys.

Is this Remastered edition confirmed for a later GOG release? If so, would current owners of the 2005 original here on GOG get a heavily subsidized edition or a free update similar to the Outcast Enhanced release?

Most importantly, does anyone know whether this remaster features native widescreen resolution support?
Yeah I just saw the game on steam and came to check my shelf if mine was updated or something. =)

Turns out it wasn't. ^^

I really hope that GOG is on top of things with this one. We may be in for a nice surprise... Hopefully. They can't possibly just ignore this release (unless of course they've never had dealings with Aspyr before)
A month late to the party, I just noticed this "remastered" edition..

I want a patch on my GOG game, even an update for a small fee, will pay! :(

Glad I found this old gem, never finished it. Sadly I didn't yet manage to get it running via Crossover for Mac.

And to post this, you had to necro an eight year old, archived, thread...instead of simply writing in the recent release thread for the actual release?

Well, if you've played it but never finished it, then you've probably already gone through the worthwhile part.
Fahrenheit is good until about 2/3 of the way through, after that it's quite a disaster, a mess that throws away all the good that's been built up to that point.

This game is like they said, "hey, we've got a good premise for a story, the atmosphere, the tension, the character development..., let's start developing!". Later, when it came time to implement the last part, they realised they had no conclusion and put in the first thing they could think of to wrap it up.

Necro or not, I prefer a separate thread about the subject:

Any news on the remaster freebie for those who already have the original version on GOG?
Coming, not coming, still unknown?

GaminggUy45: It's coming out January 29 any chance the GOG version will get it as an update like Outcast?

^^ funny.
Who would have thought that the correct answer was: "Yeah, but you have to wait another 8.5 years"

I hesitated, I could have gone to the Codeweavers forum, come here... Decided to come here, found this thread, didn't find the other one you are mentioning, which is actually not entirely about the Fahrenheit remaster anyway. But however, a separate thread about Crossover and this remaster _somewhere_ might be the better solution...
