It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

darthspudius: oh for fuck sake, I find it absolutely pathetic that someone finds it this much of a big deal. I have no problems supporting anti-drm, I do, I miss the old days before all this digital crap. But this kind of shit is taking it too far.
hmm... I was walking around the forum and dropped by the future releases area just because. There, I found this post you wrote. If mentioning DRM as a minus among so many others is "preaching" to you, then we certainly understanding preaching differently.
Firefox has gave in to DRM

Is there an alternative DRM free browser?

As I was going through the link, I felt like it sounded familiar... and indeed, 2014 stuff. So last year.

So how does a DRM Free browser even work and what negative connotations does adding DRM do to a Web Browser?

Actually, the Firefox situation isn't about DRM itself, but about open source.

Movie studios want videos to use DRM, and they came up with a closed source implementation for it. Any browser who wants to reproduce these DRM'd videos needs to implement that closed source black box code. Mozilla decided they'd rather include closed code on an open source browser than end user go "Firefox sucks, it doesn't reproduce videos".

Similarly as how GOG "stands firm" against DRM even if that means it loses some games and customers, some people would like Mozilla to stand firm against closed source even if that means some sites won't work with it.

I live in a town with about 20 different churches, iv seen so many different ways to preach even if it isn't direct.

nightcraw1er.488: "completely taken over" != "shouldn't mention Steam at all".

There is a distinct rise in pro-steam posts/wishlists, hence there is a rise in anti DRM. Same happened with ShinyLoot before it became a steam key retailler.

I don't find it that much of a big deal, merely a concern. I would point out that you started the thread and asked for comments, this is the way I see things. I won't down rate your post, I am merely stating that in my opinion this is the way I see things.

Gnostic: Firefox...
Yes, its an Adobe flash player black box embedded into the software, but then Adobe has been terrible for many years. It is a bit of a no-win situation there with browsers, same with email - Hotmail/Gmail. Its a shame as Firefox is quite a good browser I feel, used it for several years.

You mean, superbliminal preaching? Yeah, that is fun. My grandpa's brother was a priest, and set loudspeakers on the outside of the church just in case you were running late and couldn't assist to the mass. It was so cute to get woken up at 7am by some dude speaking latin. He was also a zealot and a murderer, but nobody seemed to care about that. And that's probably enough derailing.

nightcraw1er.488: I will if you stop all the threads/wishlists about Steam this, Steam that, why isn't GOG like Steam etc. which seems to have completely taken over what is ostensibly the site for DRM free games.
This is going to blow your mind, but I'd make a rough guess that at least half of all GoG users (note this doesn't mean half of all forum users, they are not the same thing) are also Steam users. I'll take it even a step further and say that most of that group don't have a problem with Steam, since Steam offers games (a lot actually) that GoG does not carry.
