Sadly, I wouldn't keep my hopes up Dungeon Master ever makes it here (or anywhere else). AFAIK the rights are still with Wayne Holder, who has been unavailable for any requests or conversation for a few years. Maybe he's not well.

Tarm: Atari ST? ATARI ST?!
Begone you foul Atari ST creature! There can be only Amiga 500! Dungeon Master only exist for Amiga 500 everything else is a lie spread by evil overlords!

PetrusOctavianus: Heh, you couldn't even play Dungeon MaSTer on an Amiga 500; you needed a 501.
I see what you did there! You sneaky you.
Logic have no place in the old Amiga vs Atari quarrel.

;)

Maxvorstadt: Well, I played Dungeon Master on both computers: On Amiga 500 and on Atari ST.
But "Bloodwych" was a way better game!!
Bloodwych? Yeah that was a great game too. :)

I never understood the hostility.
If I didn't have an Amiga I would have bough an Atari ST instead.
For me the Atari ST was like the slightly handicapped little brother, and the real enemy was the Japanese consoles.

What alienated me a bit from the Amiga community was the blatant fanboyism. A game like Black Crypt was considered far superior to Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back, because it was an Amiga exclusive and DM and CBS were ST games.
Also the delusions and self denial that was comical. It was obvious that the Amiga was doomed by 1992, yet the fanbois held on to their ancient beliefs and refused to face the truth that the future of gaming (beyond the kiddie stuff made for consoles) lay in the PC.

I never understood it either. For me it was more like friends teasing friends and not a quarrel.
Well I dunno much about the communities back then. Me and my friends only played games on them and watched a demo or two sometimes. So what it really was about I have no idea. It's just a fun odd thing to throw out sometimes when it's appropriate.
I loved the SNES port of Dungeon Master. I had no computer when I was that young.
Maybe someday...

In the meantime, Abandonia has both it and its sequel available. I bought both when they came out (and ordered the hintbook from FTL) and still have the boxes for both.
We’re still waiting for Dungeon Master 1 & 2. Great games, hope to see them one day.

Waiting to buy them or waiting to play them? There's a difference. The latter can be done immediately. The former, well, depends on what you're willing to spend.
What are the chances that this comes to GOG? It needs to be here, for sure.

Congratulations, you've resurrected a thread over 1000+ days old. To which I award you a Silver Necromancer's Toe for feats of thread necromancy.

Considering all things, that FTL Games appear to have gone defunct in the 90s, the rights apparently were sold to Victor (now Marvelous Inc.), I'd have to guess that the rights are either in legal limbo, or wholly owned by a Japanese company.

To which I say, Good Luck.

Thanks. And sorry, but I always use search first and post in already existing threads before making dupes :)
