I haven't tried it (going to tonight sometime...I've been meaning to for ages though :P) but, as the title says, it looks a bit like Dungeon Keeper meets a survival game. I know the author's said that Dungeon Keeper is one of his biggest influences, so perhaps in lieu of what Impire came to be, it might be fun.

Oh and that's not even the best part. It has a free demo and you can currently buy it PWYW, starting at $0.01.
I'm intrigued, I'll try this. Thanks for the tip.
So. I can't find any good footage of the game. Anyone know where some is?

was investigating the PWYW and i saw this quote under the Notes:

"You do not need an internet connection to play the game, but you need to be connected to the web to get the latest alpha releases and use the game-save feature. "

they are talking about some Online Save feature right (some cloud save garbage) ?
they cant mean standard saves can they?

if you (or anyone else) got around to DLing and booting it up, im curious if you can save without being online.
thanks for the tip in any case.

" Note: During alpha development, offline game save is disabled and may become available at beta launch."

Just noticed that.

i tried the demo and thats emblazoned on the start screen.
i got a crash right after the intro text starts and you have to hit enter.

>_<

it is an alpha though
For anyone looking for footage, note that there is also a free alpha to try out. Should give you an idea if it's the kind of game you'd like to see or not.
Interesting, cheers.
I ran out of stamina with my DM which hampered my ability to play at all and I sort of screwed up, I tried to build a bed for him before the "tutorial" said I would and then it turned into something else. Other than that, great start for an alpha and it has this addictive feel from all games I feel it's a mix of; DK, Terraria and Tibia.

Right now, you're required to have a valid account and be logged in to save. For now, though, you can get a "passcode" for free that lasts through the alpha, I think.

However, given this...

...I wouldn't be surprised if it's a temporary solution to experiment with DRM options that may not even be there at launch.
