dycaite: Still waiting on an explanation (other than "because I want to") as to why you are defending the "Devotion was made as a political attack" line. Please, enlighten us, I have time :)

xa_chan: Oh but you're mistaken! I'm absolutely not definding the "Devotion was made as a political attack" line! Please quote a message where I do!!

I don't care about all the "Devotion" drama, I don't even know what the game looks like!
Someone said that exact thing:

"Games created for the sole purpose of political attack at one or another country shouldn't be on GOG.", with the implication being that Devotion was one of these "political attack" games.

I expressed how ridiculous that was, having played the game myself, and knowing that this drama all stems from a single joke in the background of an art asset.

And then you burst onto the scene and gave a sarcastic reply to me about how, to you, everyone talking about Devotion was doing it for attention and that I was one of those people, when I actually made a very valid point.

You were all "ooooh don't you get it, when someone on the internet tells you you're wrong, you are wrong!" when what he was saying was very obviously not true. If I hadv'e been giving an opinion, then fine, but Devotion simply was not made as a political attack tool. It was a single joke for God's sake.

Indeed. Perhaps you should use sarcastica font in future ;)
CCPPR
I'm not being a hater, it's only a joke. What's the point of this thread? Every user claiming to leave the platform should make a new thread about it, why don't say it in the namy threads in which we all are complaining about the turn that GOG has taken?
Also the user has a rep of 5 indicating that they weren't likely an active users here. I would understand a post from a known user saying goodbye to the community, as I would be worried if someone who joins in threads daily would disappear without saying a word.

toxicTom: Hope you say the same to Steam (censored Steam China in the making) and Epic (Tencent partnership).
Anti-China paranoia and cpp conspiracy theories, you (and the ones like you) are a living example of the dark side of the internet, just like the Chinese players that got offended.
All i see is a duel of who gets more offended and who can cry louder.
Yes im against censorship, but im also against using GOG as a platform to promote anti-China propaganda and idiotic cpp conspiracy theories.

It was pretty clear what you meant but this forum is becoming more and more like Facebook!!11!!1, no moderation even with coarse words and insults, people getting nervous and gamers are gamers.
Regardless of caring for the game or knowing about it since before the rejection, why can GOG bow to China for money and it's ok when it's wrong when Activision Blizzard does it? Two weights and two measures. It's an understandable concern and GOG answers are very little satisfying. So I wouldn't call it a drama. I prefer Japanese doramas btw :)
I am not anti-China, it's just sad that devs from Taiwan gets punished for a Winnie the Pooh joke or what it was that was even removed because of the ego of a polititian. It's not so different than North Korea going after Sony. And a bit comical too.

No im not against censorship, i did not say toxic idiots should be censored, i just said i was against them (mis)using this platform for dubious propaganda purposes and for political agendas.
This kind of behavior does not help the anti-censor cause, on the contrary.

Hatespeech isn't free speech (~Twitter mobs)! You can have free speech as long as you don't say this, this, that, this thing, and that thing over there, and anything else on this non-exhaustive list (strawman). Oh, and you should know the rules, even though we don't have them posted, and, of course, the posted rules don't actually apply (~GameFaqs).

You do know that the propaganda was listed as a bug, effectively, and was removed, right? By the time GOG would've sold it, there was no propaganda in it.

Mind explaining whats the connection between what i said and what you replied? Any particular reason you quoted my posts or it was just a random act?

You're saying you're against the propaganda of the game being on GOG, no? But there's no propaganda... There was, but it was removed, prior to GOG's announcement. They're not using GOG for propaganda.

kaboro: ... you (and the ones like you) are a living example of the dark side of the internet, ...
ROFL... that came from the dark side of your brain, obviously.

I'm just sick of the hypocrisy. People expect a small Polish company make a stand against the "evil Chinese communist empire", and don't even think about how the whole global economy is entangled with China fuelling their power, and nobody bats an eye over it.

Oh ok thats a misunderstanding then, i was not saying that the Devotion developer used the game (or GOG) for propaganda purposes, i said that the users are using this as an opportunity to blame China and the CPP as usual, and this is propaganda, and this is conspiracy theory paranoia. Not even people's fault, the mainstream media has indulged into rabid anti-China propaganda lately, so people just fall for it.
