Especially if it was only for a day or two, during working days????

Well then, in that case you should read your email more often than once a week. At least I seem to get info about the GoG promos into my mailbox. Does someone have a different experience, not all of them coming or something?

Who needs email when you can just visit GoG every two hours or so?

True, but many people don't seem to be able to do that. I guess many people can't read their email every day either, so either GoG should call them directly about the promos, or extend all promos to two weeks or so, minimum. /sarcasm

The good news is that most promos seem to re-occur at some point.

I get order confirmations in my mail before the promo announcements come through.

The GOG mailer works very erratically. I myself usually get the mails, but not always; some users have reported not receiving the e-mails at all, or a few days too late. It's been discussed before.

But yeah, bitching about missed promos is nonsensical. It's not GOG's duty to make sure every single user knows about every single promo they run. This modern culture of entitlement is a sad, sad thing.
Not really, I get more upset by the fact that GOG seems to be giving all its love to the newcomers ;)

The mailer is a POS btw, I always get the announcements after the promo's have already ended.
Sometimes I receive emails regarding promos at least one day after the promo has started. That's why they where pretty useless for me so far because I tend to visit GOG every day in order to check for news or the forums.

Gem promos are not announced trough email. Maybe because they already know that emails will arrive after the promo has ended... :)

Two hours? I check it in my sleep. :)

I haven't missed a promo since I joined in 2008. There would need to be crazy circumstances where I would be unable to get online during a three day or one week period.

Same here, but this year I've been 10 days in the mountains with mostly no cell signal at all... luckily during that time there was no interesting promo for me... :)

And this, except it's 2009 for me.

Exactly. Or if they don't have reliable internet. It would be disappointing. On occasion the e-mails have come in a little after the promo starts; however, that is the exception not the rule. At this point, GOG has been consistent with weekend promos. Their other special promos (like Witcher 2 for $30 or Summer Stay-Cation Sales) last longer than 2-3 days. That is going to ensure that most people will not only have notice of the sale coming, but if they happen onto the site once per week will be enough.
