I've never played such games, but it does remind me of this one Japanese arcade title called Boong-Ga Boong-Ga.
Only in this game, the punching bag is an ass in jeans, and you have to either spank it or pick up this hand with a finger pointing out and jam it as hard as you can into that ass, all while watching some character on a screen react to your punishments. No, really, I am not making this up.
The Arcade for me was about 3 games, in chronological order:
Terminator 2: Judgement Day. I *SO* used to put a credit in each gun and play both players!
X-Men vs. Street Fighter. You can keep your marvel superheroes, or Marvel vs. Capcom/SNK/etc, I will take X-Men THANK you. It was the first game where *I* saw Capcom characters with supers, and the super jump. It was like a revelation for me. I never got good enough really, never getting beyond basic super moves and maybe a scattered air juggle 4-hit combo, but I could hold my own.
Virtua Fighter 3 BAY-BEE! Just *try* to beat me as Wolf. *try*. I made throws cool again, and annoying again.
