Greetings

I am trying to find the title of a game i was playing long time ago, i think somewhere in the '90.

You were a pilot/driver of a vehicle on some desert planet. The vehicle was a plane that can morph into a tank. Your goal was to rescue people stranded in different locations. I am not sure, but i think that there was a word "planet" or "earth" in the title.

That's all.

Sorry, doesn't ring a bell. Perhaps Incoming Forces? Any other possible information, its was PC I presume, side scroller, FPS etc. Anything might help. Anything on here:

Was it first or third person view?
This sounds a bit like a game I've been trying to find for a long time, except the level I remember was on a grassy green tileset, but I'm sure the game levels could've spanned several different regions.

It was a third person type game, and it was one of the very first games that used 3D acceleration. I saw a friend, or at least a friend of a friend, playing the game around 1997ish
Have you tried to find your game on MobyGames?

That's the first thing I'll do, if i try to figure out an old game I partly remember (and narrow it down with my memories). Well, it doesn't cover all games, but quite a lot. Try it :-)

Scorched Planet

It was considered basically as "Defender 3D", due to the rescuing of people.

I have the retail version, yellow box etc. It was one of the early PC 3D games with 3Dfx Glide support (not sure if it was out of the box, or you needed a 3Dfx patch for it), but unfortunately it had a "feature" that unless you used some early/old versions of 3Dfx Voodoo drivers, the graphics would be all blue. That was kind of a letdown. Not sure if that is still an issue with Glide emulators like nGlide etc., maybe I should check (in case I can get it to run at all nowadays...).

Yes, that's it.

Kudos to you.

I just got nostalgic one day, and wanted to find few games i was playing way back. This was one of the few I couldn't find.
