Kat_ontherun: It's actually hilarious because most Chinese gamers I know just use Steam China, lol. Old western game isn't that big of a market in China. GOG's pandering is losing more western users than gaining Chinese users.
Shhh, don't destroy GOG's well thought out plan here. They spent many man hours, a full total or 15 minutes or less to think this over and come to this decision.

1. GOG announces Devotion
2. GOG denounces Devotion (further more to kiss the collective asses of the CCP)
3. GOG pisses off it's customer base (in record time I have to add)
4. ??????
5. Profit

amrit9037: CDPR please grow a fucking spine
They can’t, CCP took it from them, by force.

Nalkoden: The blatant and shameless lies are what I hate the most. Lies about Galaxy, lies about Epic, lies about Cyberpunk 2077 and now this.

This has to be the fastest some company has ruined their reputation and obliterated what good will they had left.
Epic PR fails from another dimension here!

It's almost like some/someone are trying hard to destroy their own company here.

Seems GOG and CDPR are now destined to be dragged into the mud together, however, seeing how much they earned on CyberPunk 2077 and knowingly released a broken console version that they knew Sony would not refund players for, they could most likely ride out a couple of storms...

I sent them a direct email through support page asking them to clarify their decision not to have Devotion on the store and saying I'm not going to spend my money on a company that supports censorship. Though I doubt they will answer.

LordJF: Yeah, we should all send messages to Red Candle Games on their social media platforms that there's demand for the game to be released outside of Taiwan even if GOG refuses to take it. I hope they could host the game on their own site and sell it directly.

ginx2666: The thing is, Ch*na, Xinnie the Pooh, and chi**s would do their utmost to suppress that. They'd DDoS the website hosting the game, they'd threaten and strongarm payment processors, and they'd order their bitches (ones like GOG/CDP) to do their bidding..
Would this not just happen to GOG too?

They are working hard to Out-Konami Konami.

Very weak move from GOG.

I think the tweet has nothing to do with it

Is anyone else surprised by the lack of mods floating around? Taking bets they're going to do one big sweep and ban most of us.

Truly a worthy and noble goal to strive for.

I like this but from the job description

'driving customer engagement, reducing churn, winning back lapsed customers'

Guess I won't be buying anything in the sale

Or they just figure people will go on to something else in a day or two and clean things up then.

I was banned here for simply saying an F bomb. I'm finding it hard to believe they're not going to abuse their powers here lol.
