Just pretend this text is blue.

We’d like to inform you that Hot Tin Roof: The Cat That Wore a Fedora has been delisted from the GOG catalog today (Thursday), December 17th, some time UTC.

For everyone who purchased it prior to delisting, the game will remain in their GOG library. (I'd assume)

Already gone.
What's the story behind this game?

Good riddance.
These are the same type of people who would throw a fit if a game had something they didn't like.

I see the supporters of these disingenuous hacks have showed up........

The game or the delisting?

For the game, there is a description on Wikipedia.

For the delisting reason you can go to Twitter.

You're welcome! Sorry I messed up the link code, the forum is not very lax with BBCode and there is no post preview. :-( I fixed it now though.

Btw, the game is still available DRM-free on Humble, but not on sale currently.

For anyone who stumbles in: The CCP literally threatens every developer who has games available on gog.com when they make these threats. This is a decision the developer is making out of complete rationality: once the purge of games starts, it's only a question of when others will be forcibly removed solely to appease a potential customer that doesn't exist and actively steals from developers anyways.

If you are a game developer that sells your products on GOG.com, I urge you to remove your content now and save yourself from similar harassment as Red Candle games has dealth with for almost 4 and a half years now. Because only an idiot doesn't know they'll be coming for your game next.
Wait why was the game delisted?

(quoted in full for posterity)

Are you mentally unwell perhaps? If the CCP threatens everyone who has games on GOG for GOG agreeing to sell Devotion, how is GOG to blame?

In fact, the developers who do remove their games will be signalling their political affiliation to the CCP, thus encouraging them to come for their games.

Good riddance to Megan Fox, though. This woman-hating handmaiden doesn't deserve a platform.

What did she do?

"Gamers" in China told GOG not to sell Devotion, and GOG complied instead of telling them to #@(*^ off or ignoring them.
