I want to play and enjoy Monster Hunter World, but your inclusion of Denuvo is making that difficult, and making it difficult for it to ever see the light of day here on GOG. Another one of your games, Dragon's Dogma, is doing just fine without it.

Dear GOGger,

I don't read these forums.

Love,
Capcom

Do you happen to have an article about this? As far as I know, there hasn't been any mention of the sales numbers on GOG for Dragon's Dogma. I mean, I hope with all my heart that it did great, so that maybe we may get some more Capcom games, but considering the amount of bad publicity over separate multiplayer servers for GOG and STEAM, makes me doubt that.

Well, if you sort the store pages by RPG and Best Selling it's on page 2, so even though it's not up there on the best seller shelf it's not doing too bad (it's just below Planescape:Torment Enhanced and Wasteland 2, and above titles like Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Tyranny).

Is that really all time best selling or just recent best selling? Didn't expect HOMM 3 Complete to be all time best seller...
Even if it had no Denuvo, there was no guarantee that the game would be coming here. It's not like GOG is drowning in Capcom games...

Hmm... I forgot about that. I seem to remember that, while there are no clear numbers available, there was a game for which we were told the exact number of sales, which allowed us to at least approximate. Was it "Defender's Quest" from when the developer posted his postmortem?

I don't know, but I suspect it's all-time. Probably easier to code for.

Regardless of how it's doing on GOG, as far as I know it doesn't have Denuvo on Steam, either. And I doubt they lost a significant number of sales to piracy because of that, compared to Denuvo protected games.

I guess the majority of gamers don't care, but personally I don't buy Steam games with additional DRM on top of the Steam client.
It's not making anything difficult. It's you not buying the game that's making it difficult.
