Obviously, if you haven't done so yet, be sure to vote for the game here.

That said, the fact that it's a Japanese game means that a DRM-free release will be extremely difficult to pull off (although the publisher is a joint venture between a Japanese and a Swedish company, so I guess the chances are a bit better).
Nope. No way am I buying it a third time. Not to mention the fucking awful slowdown in the re-release compared to the PS3 original, which makes driving through town a massive pain.

Xibalba: omg!! EVERYONE GO VOTE FOR IT!! :)
Omg, indeed! Voted, favorited and followed. I'm expecting this to breeze through greenlight with no issues; that is if other people actually love this game as much as I do anyway :)
Funny thing is that I recently got this game for the 360 after going on a bit of a Twin Peaks binge, now I see that the director's cut is coming to a platform I do use. I hope that this PC version is not a terrible port because Deadly Premonition is a great game, when I mean great I mean it is a beautiful trainwreck of a video game and having a terrible port would be a disservice to it.
lol for some reason i smell a bad port, hopefuly the smell is coming from resident evil games not this one
They should remake Spy Fiction. Shape-shifting face-stealing stealth would be so great with a bit more freedom and less loading screens.

It's a pretty daring move for a cult game. In recent memory only Dark Souls did it, but Das/DeS had a much bigger following, petitions were huge.

I don't think they could afford to screw this one up. I mean, it wouldn't be the end of the world, but they need all the good hype they can get.

dark soul was the most screwed up port in recent memory and developers excuse regarding the bad port was even worse

It was and that's yet another reason why I think Deadly Premonition won't be half-assed.

Fromsoft had a great thing going on the consoles. Rising Star Games didn't go over so well on the consoles with Deadly Premonition so PC is their second chance, while for Fromsoft it was just extra revenue.

RSG seem to have a nice thing going with dozens of NDS and Wii games.

I checked some of their games, the good ones seem to be very niche and the most popular series has run out of charm by now. (That being the Harvest Moon, I think). I know that 999 one was regarded as a hidden gem or an unexpected success. Not sure which one, maybe both.

I'm not very well versed on the NDS and Wii games and the size of their crowd or the approximate following of all their gudduns so breaking into the PC crowd with success still seems like a huge thing for them.
Bump.
Sorry for that, but I really want to see the game here! :)
It has been approved on Greenlight. I really, really hope they'll fix the framerate and maybe I will re-buy it for PC, since the PS3 version is unplayable.
All right! Now let's get them to release it on GOG!
I really don't like the idea of installing Steam client once again to play it.
I never heard of this game before, looks really good, kinda similar to the original Silent Hill.
