Hi everyone! It's true that Rising Star Games has published a few PC games in the past but, since this is our first release on Steam, we wanted to make it a big one and bring you something special! And let's face it, nothing gets bigger than the gaming phenomenon that is Deadly Premonition!

We're excited about the idea of bringing you an enhanced version of the already-improved Director's Cut, but to do that – as with any Greenlight project – we need your help. So, if you want to solve the mystery of the Raincoat Killer on PC in the near future, please give us your support and help us make one of the biggest cult hits of the decade a reality on Steam very soon!

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut on PC includes new features over and above the original game, plus additional content not seen in the PS3 Director's Cut release:

A surprising new scenario from the game’s director, Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro
Enhanced HD graphics with new textures
Reworked control system allowing for an even better combat experience
Downloadable content to expand the mystery beyond the original game
New bonus DLC exclusive to the PC version!

And exclusive to the Steam version, earn achievements and collect Steam Trading Cards – complete the whole set before the Raincoat Killer gets you!

Check out the reveal trailer for the PC version above, or on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=dASjh04bT9M
Release date: Halloween 2013

omg!! EVERYONE GO VOTE FOR IT!! :)

Holy shit. holy shit
Coolio!
Where else do they plan to release the game I wonder? It doesn't seem to be the case here, but it confuses me when games like Agarest: Generations of War plan to release the game exclusively on Steam, then they have to go through Greenlight. What would their plan have been if it never got greenlit?
NICE!
I don't know if I must vote or note.
They don't bothered to patch the PS3 version, that is UNPLAYABLE.
It has stuttering every single time you move, even on cutscenes!
And the game freezes too much time, is a horrible porting.
I took it on D1, then put on the shelf waiting for a patch, then they said they were patching the game...but not, it was a lie, because some days ago a news reported that they are not working for a patch.
I just read a tweet about it. And I have to say - Yes, here are all my PC gamer's money! Awesome news. This got my first sincere Greenlight vote. I had voted only once for some Sierra-like KS game before because of Pillar of Community achievement. :P

EDIT: Please, vote for it here on GOG.

Hell yes, I almost bought the PS3 version last week but decided to wait until next month when some money comes in. I was already pissed that Mortal Kombat got a PC release soon after I got the PS3 version - thank God I saw this thread. :P

So yeah, I'm gonna vote the crap out of this game on Greenlight and hope for the best.

Wait, I first thought you actually worked for Rising Star Games. You just quoted the stuff without quotation marks, didn't you.

Yeah, I read a review recently which "only" gave the game a 7/10 or something but I was instantly incredibly intrigued. I instantly knew that I need this game before I had even seen a trailer or something. Seems to be really original and unique.

What? Only 11 votes on the wishlist?
This game NEEDS to be on GOG!
BTW, I'm not too familiar with Steam - have anybody tried to contact Rising Star Games about potential GOG release?

It has actually achieved a sort of cult-classic status, which is of course why the Director's Cut edition was made.
And really, when they've done all that how could you not want to try it?
I really hope it gets greenlit.

No. I only wrote a (super enthusiastic) comment and mentioned that I would prefer GOG release a lot. I have followed articles about Swery65 and he basically said that the decision to be released on PC is dependent on their publisher. Rising Star Games isn't a very big studio that can throw money at everything. I think they need to be pushed through Greenlight first to know that there is going to be revenue if they decide to invest into this.

I guess it wouldn't hurt if someone asked them if they plan to release it via other distributional channels in the case of successful greenlight.

EDIT: RSG replied to my question if they plan to make it Steam exclusive: "Nothing to confirm yet."

I hope they won't make me regret my 'yes' vote by making it Steam exclusive...
