Okay. I bought it off steam for the $10 special.

WHEEE! 10 gig download later....

*startup*
AWESOME!!!
*game starts*
Awesome!!!!
*actual gameplay starts*
WTF!!!!

I tried fiddling with the resolution and stuff... Nothing seems to fix this... Is the start of the game supposed to be like this? Does it fix itself later? I ran a verification of the install too, no flaws here...?!?!?!

Anyone know why this is happening?

Wow, I do not remember having that issue on the console version. That bites. Does using focus help? There are definitely a few areas where a pillar or something will obscure your view of the baddy. I think I recall being about to rotate my camera in the console version, can you hold right mouse button and move it around?

I've been trying to use my Logitech controller for this game... *sigh* And no, it's not broken or anything - works absolutely mint for SFIV on PC.

Guess I'll have to try it with mouse/keyboard then... *sobs* BRB to verify its just a controller issue.

EDIT: EHHHHHH!!!! It WAS the controller fucking it up.... Very interesting. When I unplugged the controller and started the game it was perfectly fine. WHY MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?????????

*gives in and plans on buying a fucking X350 for PC controller since every fucking game seems to demand one to be perfectly compatible - I'm so over reconfigging the buttons every single game*

Hapens when you use any other controller than Xbox 360 one, or as far as I was able to gather. Only one that works besides that is keyboard + mouse
I think I know what happened.

Your Logitech controller has dual analog sticks, right? I'm guessing one of the sticks doesn't center perfectly, so it messed up the camera.

I have a Logitech Rumblepad 2 and well, it works perfectly fine on most games. But some have very sensitive analog settings... like Geometry Wars Retro Evolved. I can play the game fine, but I leave the pad alone, the ship is ALWAYS shooting to the right.

That quite pisses me off too. When you have a proper Xbox 360 controller support AND k + mouse support, why the hell not do the few extra steps to support PS controller as well?

Go and grab X360CE instead, an X360 controller emulator. Works just fine (most of the time).

Nah, the logitech came with its own controller emulator program. Works good - I suspect it's what Foxhack said - oversensitive or something. But the weird thing is that the controller is FINE in every single other game.

Bah. Great game so far - very cinematic and epic, only gripe I have with the keyboard controls is the "ALT + WASD for dash" command - that's slightly awkward for such an important move...

I reckon I'll just buy a damn Xbox controller and get it over and done with. I'm so over configuration problems and the buttons always being in the wrong place.

I switched the dash to mouse 3 and use item thing to alt. Plays a lot better that way

It's such a great controller... everyone should have one!
The camera also messes up every now and then when using keyboard and mouse.

That's actually a very good idea. I'll do that.

Yeah right, 80 bucks for the controller? That's why I never did get one and am reluctant to. My logitech cost 25 and has served me EXTREMELY well over the years. Plus I don't like the Xbox controllers, always felt... wrong.

Remember I'm in dear old Aussie, land of rip off prices. Unless someone can buy one on the cheap brand new for me and ship it to me? I'll pay. Give me prices first though! :P

Yup, I did that. Totally worth it.
I'm told the kb/mouse controls are quite good for Darksiders, though.
