I've been getting into digital comics lately and have been maintaining threads at a few sites updating the daily sales and freebies. I figured that while I'm cut and pasting to those other sites I might as well include my new GOG friends, as we appear to have a fair number of comic book fans here, and we're obviously ok with the 'digital' part. I only update on days where I find sales/freebies, but anyone and everyone is free to add things I miss or just post general discussion of comics of course. There tends to be a sale or freebie somewhere at least 4-5 times a week. As long as there is interest here I'll post my updates and look forward to you all helping me find deals too!

Crap. This forum software isn't very compatible with what I'm used to. It works, but looks bad. I'll have to clean it up. Speaking of forum software, I haven't looked at this one much or tried to tinker, but I get the feeling it's very old.

Wow, this forum software doesn't like vbulletin coding at all; and does automatic linking that I'm not used to.

I think I have the links cleaned up to be workable; but it's not pretty.

Let me tell you that your work is very much appreciated. Even though I'm more into gaming, I still leave some time in a week for some comics.

No, I love DC (see my avatar) and Marvel. But they don't have any sales at this moment. Those were just the currently active sales. New sales start at 2300 actually, and Marvel usually has a one day sale every Monday, so that could start in 8 minutes!

That is true. Comixology used to have a section of new freebies recently added but it disappeared in one of the site reconfigurations. (No, it was before being assimilated by Amazon, you can put down the tinfoil hat)

Also in longer sales I usually get comixology emails later on the sale, I usually had to rely on twitter to hear of these things promptly.



Anyway, there is other store: DriveThruComics. They give you bookmarked PDFs to download.
They don't carry the Big Two but there is content from Archaia, Aspen, Top Cow and Valiant among many indies. They also have over 1000 free comics. You can clik on a publisher from the list on the left to add that filter to the search.

For example, remember the Cyberforce reboot that was funded through Kickstarter? It's available free at comixology but here you can get a PDF also for free. At least for the time being.

I don't check them all that often but I'll try to.

Since Dynamite and Image Comics have gone the DRM free way, I bought a tablet only for reading comics.
I never was into comics simply because I knew how much worth they lose if you actually read the original pages and the digital thing made it much more attractive to me. I'm reading a lot of those atm.

Is there stuff from Marvel and DC around in bundles which is DRM free?
