Oh, and I´m in for The Cat Lady on GOG!
Nice one, I liked the game... Only if they haven't messed the ending so much...
On a side note, The Cat Lady is four positions before jumping over Omerta, which means another key... I have a devilish idea for giving away that key, but I'm not sure I'll be able to pull it off technically...

Oh, I also liked the ending:
Not the best thing Quantic Dream could have chosen as an ending, but also not the worse one.

Oh, and I also liked Omerta! Kinda weird, don´t you think so? ;)

I can't comment on Omerta - the only turn-based strategy game I ever played was X-com : )
As I said, I picked Omerta because of the controversy : )
Not entering.
+1 and thanks for the giveaway. Some nice entries so far. Good luck to the entrants.
In for TCL and Cognition.

A long time ago I was looking for an apartment. I had looked at over a dozen already and nothing seemed good. One day I went to look at a house in a very nice neighborhood. The guy lived alone and was renting one of his rooms. As he was showing me the house, I started to get this very weird vibe. I started becoming more and more nervous, and I didn't know why. There was nothing odd about the house, he wasn't acting strangely, nothing he said was off, yet my tension kept growing. I'd looked at tons of places, met with tons of strangers and never had the slightest problem. But for some reason, I was getting very unsettled. He took me upstairs and showed me the bedrooms and then downstairs showing the dining room and kitchen. When he went to the basement door I told him I didn't want to go down. He offered again, and I assured him I did NOT need to see it. He shrugged and moved on.

I had arrived near dusk and by the end of the tour it was night. We were sitting in the den and he was telling me about his new music system, yet all I could think about was how he was closer to the door and could block me if I tried to run. I kept wondering if I should try to make a break for it anyways. He talked for a while and told me that an asian student had looked at the place before me, but wound up going back to China instead. My immediate thought was, "yeah, that's what he TOLD you! If he was going back to China, why was he looking for a place? He felt the same thing I did."

I eventually managed to get the hell out of there, and was further freaked that he stood in the doorway watching me leave. Why did he want to see me get in the car? Was he memorizing the plate? Why the fuck wouldn't he go back in the fucking house already? My hand was actually shaking as I unlocked the door and I kept watching him in the rearview as I drove away. Was he going to... I dunno, chase me down the street? The whole thing totally freaked me out.

He called later to see if I had changed my mind about the place. He couldn't understand why I had said no. I let the machine get it.

I have no idea what happened, I've never had a reaction to a person or place like that before or since. Not even when I've had guns in my face have I felt like that. For all I know there was nothing wrong and I just had a completely bizarre reaction.

But there was no way I was going anywhere near that guy again.

I've had moments like that. The first one I remember was when I was a kid, and I was cycling down a shortcut I had used many times before. This time I got a really unsettling feeling that brought me up short. I forced it down, though - told myself that I was being silly, that a rational man didn't allow himself to be swayed by superstitious sentiments. A few seconds later, a pitbull lunged out of the bushes and attached itself to my leg. Now to this day, I have no idea what I was picking up on that told me the dog was there - certainly nothing I was consciously aware of. But I've learned that when my neck-hairs stand on end, I turn around and get out of there. Your brain is smarter than your mind.
Thanks for the giveaway! +1
I'm in, if I may. Here's something spooky:

Azilut: I've had moments like that.
I don't know what the hell it was, or even what I might have picked up on, even subconsciously. Did he want to rape me? Were there bodies in his cellar? Bodies in his fridge? Would he have drugged me and kidnapped me and tortured me? I have no idea. Did I see a finger under a bed out of the corner of my eye, or hear muffled cries for help I didn't consciously hear? Who knows.

This happened twenty years ago though, and I still remember it. All I know for sure is that my spidey-sense was screaming at me, so I listened.

EDIT

I sometimes toyed with the idea of asking the local PD if anything had ever happened there, to prove to myself I wasn't being a total whacko.

In for GOG copy of The Cat Lady

Self-made again, so I should probably enter in Desura key for The Cat Lady as well, with the understanding that I would have to gift it, but not sure how to ensure that the final receiver will have curious and loving hands. (hmmm, does that sound creepy in and of itself, the "receiver will have curious and loving hands". What I mean is just how best to comply with the rules, curious and loving hands tests just sounds creepy to me ) :|

sorry a bit loopy this morning. I didn't get up this morning, cause I didn't go to bed. I've been watching the whites of my eyes turn red :)

Dear Participants, I just noticed that The Cat Lady jumped over Omerta this night, which means: Another GOG code on the table! Now, I'm planning to use (as promised) random.org for the main prize. For self made prize and personal prize I'm going to use my Tarot deck or a coin.
I have an idea about that new code but it's pretty time-consuming on my part and I want to give the game away today so that those less fortunate can still buy it discounted (no worries, I'll use that devilish idea on some other giveaway). As for now, Judge Momo

Momo1991:
volunteered to find us a winner. Any other ideas about that extra code?

The winners for the first three prizes will be announced in about 12 hours!
count me in for:
- Main Prize: GOG copy of The Cat Lady!

voted for this one already:
5. Optional: If you played The Cat Lady and wonder what the hell was that part about Joe and Ivy, you can place your vote here ; )

would be awesome if it got included as the extras to The Cat Lady here on GOG (if they were anti c/o the no voice acting or something, even The Cat Lady was rejected initially as your previous topic; thankfully it got some votes and momentum and made it here! ^_^)

Question 1:
Whad do you think about closing the contest on Tuesday night, so that those less fortunate Competitors can still buy the game with -25% discound on Wednesday?

sound fine to me. 12ish hours you said i think.

Question 2:
If one more code appears in this giveaway, does anybody have an idea about picking the winner? We have one category for luck, one category for creativity and one for personal tale... Should we choose a judge to pick the final winner? Or maybe make it a separate giveaway?

seems like it was solved already ^_^

thanks for a giveaway, Novotnus!

We already have a modern game without VA (Richard and Alice)... Still, Downfall could use some polishing before its proper GOG release (bugfixes mostly)... We can hope for a talkie version, but I'm affraid it would be too expensive to make...

I'm not sure - it's just an option : )
