So far I've got:

Undergarden
Deus EX Invisible War

and it looks like Hoard is the next runner up.

The previous two games are sabotaged so that the only comfortable control scheme is with a 360 controller.

I don't know why some developers bother to waste time making games with horrible control schemes because controls are the heart of the game.

This is probably the #1 biggest problem with PC gaming is that there are so many options that controls are easy to screw up.
never had any problems with Deus Ex-did not know that it even supported a 360 pad- why would you even want to the controls were fine. can't say anything about the other two games
System Shock.

dragon age 2- for me the controls dont seems as good as the first
Alot of companies like BioWare seem more interested in giving you a 'cinematic experience' rather than an 'interactive experience' that requires decent controls. They seem to forget that if I want a cinematic experience I'll go watch a film on TV...
Gothic 1 & (less so) 2

They don't end up really "destroyed", they still are fine game, but the clumsy keyboard-only control scheme, and the unintuitive inventory UI almost ruined G1, IMHO... what's worse is that it wasn't even really justified from a design point of view, just a developing time shortcut; the game was recent enough to have seen previous examples of mouse&user friendly RPG UI done well, and even a basic Diablo-like interface would have been enough

Blasphemy!
Resident Evil 4

Think of your keyboard as a freaking controller.

If you have a multi-button mouse then map the R key to one of them, preferably under your thumb. Caution: While it makes the game easier to play it dumbs down the game even more. Click... click... click... click.

Not really. I think it's the single greatest game I've ever played, but the controls are beyond awful. There is supposed to be a mouselook version floating around now, I probably should try that.

Huh? Why would you play DX2 with a gamepad?

The interface was a little sloppy and the targeting reticle was the size of a quarter, but I wouldn't even consider using a gamepad.
thanks Delixe, will give it a go, have to say might be one of the only times the 360 controller should of been a option with dragon age 2
Die by the Sword could have been much more if the controls were smoother. It's still a one of a kind in its own rights, but really, the sky's the limit if only mouse VSIM was smoother.

The default control scheme for Gothic 1 was horrid but I was able to over come it using an external profiler to map the keys to an game pad.

Anything that involves using WASD to steer around a 3D character or through an 3D environment I try to map to my game pad otherwise my hand cramps into WASD Claw.

Second Sight.

Lostmagic.

Regarding the former, I'd be happy for someone to point out how to fix it.
