It's time for the fifth and the last contest in our "GOG.com Contest Week". We've already received lots of entries for the previous ones and we're sure with this contest it will be the same :). This time we wanted to re-run a contest which we did some time ago on our Facebook page - we'd like to ask you to prepare a GOG.com ad. Use your imagination, crazy photoshop or paint skills, the GOG logo and come up with something beautiful and funny like this ;) or creative like this and send it to users@gog.com until Wednesday, October 13 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

From all entries we will pick 3 winners:
the winner will receive Activision catalogue
1st runner up will receive the games from JoWooD catalogue
2nd runner up, thanks to our friends at PC Gamer, will receive a PC Gamer UK subscription.

Creativity for the win!

iAmGeek: Well, anyone who's a fan of Kenshiro can probably get at least 3rd place without even trying.
Let's find out who is the true Fist of the North Star. :D
yeah ok, lets fight then :D
Am I the only one who thinks that the first Facebook example image linked to is in incredibly poor taste?

I'm all like, "Hey new GOG contest. This link looks innocent enough."

BODY OF UNDERWEAR CLAD WOMEN IN FACE

This, GOG.com, is not classy.
Can someone suggest me a good fancy-style font in GIMP? There are a lot.
Hey, I have some Photoshop skills.
Heck I use the Adobe Creative Suite professionally.
Finally a contest I CAN participate in.

No wait, it's saturday already and I don't have a decent design PC with Photoshop installed at my home, and it's almost an hour ride to my work.

Looks like no contest at all for me.
use gimp ^^

@iAmGeek

Yes. I did. XD
Hmm I suck royally with graphics skills, but I just had an idea so will see if I can make anything that doesn't look a preschooler's art project.

Personally I liked it. It was funny. Of course, being european, I'm rather used to women *wearing clothes* (hint : THAT was sarcasm ).

Definitely better than a bloody head on a spike, the line "If you need to let off Steam..." (you're welcome if you want to use that for the contest). But my personal threshold to grafic violence is much lower than to naked skin, especially when you probably see more at your local swimmingpool.
high rated
Here's the entry I sent in. :)

Well sent mine in here it is folks. As I said previously in the forum my graphics skills are rubbish so hopefully the concept works as I just couldn't get it looking the way my mind envisaged.

Now if they could just work out a way to plug your brain into a graphics program imagine the results. Then again that could just be disturbing.

Did you set that up yourself? It's good quality, and funny too.

Also, that would be cool.

Hey, it's pretty good (not onyl concept-, but graphics-wise as well)! What's your problem with your skills?

I was cleaning my desk so figured while I had all my junk cleared off it might as well set up some board games and take a photo or two. Hey at least I know I'm not violating copyright on photos or anything like that as long as gog don't mind me borrowing their game covers :)

Well I've seen some pretty good results from gogers (is that a word) in the past so figured my skills would be a lot lower in that scale, plus it took me ages to get it looking half decent, so a little reminder not to give up my day job :)

I think it's the spacing and the choice of fonts he's complaining about, the pictures themselves are rather good (although the cables in the corner could have done with being photoshopped out).
