It's time for the fifth and the last contest in our "GOG.com Contest Week". We've already received lots of entries for the previous ones and we're sure with this contest it will be the same :). This time we wanted to re-run a contest which we did some time ago on our Facebook page - we'd like to ask you to prepare a GOG.com ad. Use your imagination, crazy photoshop or paint skills, the GOG logo and come up with something beautiful and funny like this ;) or creative like this and send it to users@gog.com until Wednesday, October 13 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

From all entries we will pick 3 winners:
the winner will receive Activision catalogue
1st runner up will receive the games from JoWooD catalogue
2nd runner up, thanks to our friends at PC Gamer, will receive a PC Gamer UK subscription.

Creativity for the win!

jfrago: Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the reflection did seem off. Here's the revised version. It's still fake 3d, but i hope it'll do.

Cheers.
Much better. Good job buddy!
I guess perhaps I didn't understand the theme of the contest. This was my entry.

Just a little raunchy, can you remove that DRM from the middle I think it is interfering with the enjoyment factor. (DRM = hands)

I somehow don't see it becoming an official GOG ad :)

I wasn't expecting it to become an official GOG ad. I do suspect it will be the most-saved GOG ad though. :)
Kudos! Quite a few of these ads could be actually used for official GOG promotion!

Mine is waaay behind, but I couldn't help but draw a parallel between GOG's monks, and a particular scene in The Pandora Directive.

My attempt

(Dang, I'm jealous of everyone else's Photoshop ability)

Here's mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDfRWYlGAC8

Not nearly perfect (I hope that the point of the commercial gets across the way I meant it to), but I only thought up the idea yesterday evening. The vlog part could have been much more realistic, but I'm not an actor and I only had a few minutes to record. XD

Hope you guys like it.

Edit: By the way, check out the "suggested tags" YouTube generated after processing the video. XD

My little something..

I'm sure I could come up with something, but not in a day. Oh well. :(
This was fun to do! What could be better than DRM free classics? Not much. But would could be close? An armored, ninja bear with robo-claw and gatling lasers!

Best of luck to everyone!

So many talented entries from GOG-ites who know their way around photoshop. Unlike moi! The community here is quite inspired as well as inspiring. I entered though it won't win squat.

I thought about redoing it using my own French Press, and arranging several discs from my physical collection of games (that are offered here on GOG) around on a dessert plate, like they were a tray of biscottis or scones or something.

But.... meh.

Heh, 'tis awesome my friend. I love coffee. I love gog. Seems like a killer combo. "BTW All your games are belong to us" hahaha classic, dude! I liked the sniffly suicide face you made near the end there. Fucking great.

Haha! Thanks, I'm glad you liked the video.

I am dying to see who wins what from all these contests. Why can't time go faster?!!??! D:
Phew... here's my entry.

I don't have phenomenal photoshop skills but I think it reflects how good and simple GOG is... escpecially to the non-tech savvy people who want to have a blast from the past, potential customers you know. ;)
