It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Maybe this is a stupid questions, but wouldn't you need games running on Linux with multiplayer support? I can't think of a reason a company would include the multiplayer part of a game (in the Linux version) when there is no Galaxy for Linux?

dyrvere: Q: Will you be keeping the daemon in mind as core where the QT UI will be optional, I love when things have minimal dependencies to keep track of. Again, thanks a bunch for figuring this stuff out!
Yes, I am planning to keeping the daemon and GUI separated.

Of course we need the games to support it, but the client has to be developed first. I am aware that this project isn't very useful right now.

Hey, I finally bought the game and tried your client.

Works great! Lightweight, easy and quick to compile too.

Thank you.
Sorry in advance for the off-topic digression, Yepoleb. : )

Ixamyakxim: Someone is going to get a C&D followed by a job offer ;)

Yepoleb: I got the approval from GOG before going public, so legal action is very unlikely.

Gekko_Dekko: I think, this person tried to say completely different thing. Something about "after such huge amount of work, CD project should hire you"
Old post, I know, but since nobody else clarified: "C&D" is shorthand for "cease and desist".
I haven't bought the game and I'm not even sure if that's really how it works, but...
Stellaris uses the Galaxy client for multiplayer (and a Paradox account), right? The game has a Linux version, so it should be a great candidate for Comet.

Does anyone know whether Comet allows online play for Stellaris, or could in the future?
Question.
Can I use Comet to install The Witcher 3 on Linux so I can run The Witcher 3 using Wine?

Use this one instead. The Witcher 3 is supported by the script below:

That one requires me to download offline installer, meaning I have to prepare free space for 2 big files. One is for installer, and one for installation. I'm not asking if comet can run the game though, just if it can download the game. If so then perhaps I can configure Lutris-Wine+DXVK to run the game... Perhaps :p

Comet does not support downloading the game files. It only replicates the features that Galaxy provides when playing the game, ie multiplayer, achievments, ...

for downloading the game files directly from the galaxy repositories, without using the offline installers, you can use
lgogdownloader

The first post is a bit outdated in that thread, it doesn't mention the galaxy support. Just check the output of lgogdownloader --help

Oh I see. Guess I'll go with lgogdownloader then. Meaning I'll also be using Adamhm's wrapper kbnrylaec suggesting up there.

speaking "galaxy for linux". I just browsed AUR and found this:

I wonder, why nobody uses it. I mean - it even has GUI
