Keys are usually difficult to trade if they were sold cheap in bundles. Chances are everyone is already swimming in them.

Keys from sales that a lot of people missed out on have a bit more pull but are still riskier than trading giftables through the Steam inventory window which gets documented and can be retraced later in instance of a scam.

I've come to find that once you have most everything and there are only few and specific games that you want, it is much easier to just buy those games directly. More than likely most traders won't have those specific games stashed away.

Similar experiences here. I don't trade much, but what i find is steam gifts are a lot safer to trade than keys (who knows if a key has been used?). I also have found i want certain games, a lot of traders don't have it available. Much easier to buy.
