Cool, glad to see them back!
Being a huge Star Control fan, I bought these back when they were first released, but I'm thrilled to see them back so that others can purchase them again.

AnonymousJCD: "Happy days and jubilation!!!"

Yes, Fwiffo is squealing with joy right now :)

EDIT: is it just me or are they cheaper than they used to be?

RWarehall: Yes, formerly both at a base price of $5.99, now $3.99.
Wow, wonder why that is. Certainly won't complain!

It's the same on "that other storefront a *few* people use", so it's not a bug.
Now let's get the Telltale games back.

Probably something to do with trying to "win back" the fans after a long, drawn out dispute.
"Stardock accepts that Paul & Fred are the creators of Star Control and Star Control II. Both parties agree that many other skilled people also contributed their talent and creativity to help make the games so great."

Well, that's good news. Glad they could work out their differences.
Great news! Welcome back!
I hope to see Duke Nukem 3D back..
Carpe Fulgar games back too please, the f is the eternal hold up. *roll eyes*
Now GOG needs Dungeon Master.
Nice to hear. Thank you GOG and other involved parties ;).Cheers

From what I've read, the developers just never gave a flying fuck about relicensing when GOG made the Cyprus<->Poland business switch. *shrug*
So is the chance of us getting a new Star Control game made by the original designers possible, or will we just get Stardock's take on the series?
I'm glad they worked it out. I'm not surprised they ended up almost going to court following their interactions via social media, and only came to turns once they got into contact via phone. Everything can be solved via prolonged human interaction.

From what I understand reading the article on RockPaperShotgun:
= Stardock can develop whatever they want using the name Star Control, as long as they don't use the likeness of the alien species from the original trilogy.
= Paul and Fred get access to "technology"(whatever that means) thanks to Stardock.
= Paul and Fred and Stardock will split royalties equally from the sales of the original trilogy.
= Paul and Fred and Stardock claim that they are fine with the fan development of the Ur-Quan Masters.
