From Sim City 4 to Surviving Mars (With DLC) I cant decide on which simulation game I want to get. I dont have much experience with simulation games. I would love to be able to sink 50-100 hours into a solid title.
Tropico 4 is very enjoyable if the tropical flavor is your thing.

Banished is also great .

Cities: Skylines is the best city builder there is if you're okay with DRM. Huge modding potential through Steam Workshop.

Aven is pretty good.

It doesn't really hold up to the SimCity games but it looks amazing and plays pretty smooth.

AND if you want a laugh, check out the Aven community thread. XD You'll scream, and then you'll laugh.

Jotun: Sim City 4.
Once you get the hang of specialising and connecting cities across regions, this can be pretty good, and theres plenty of additional content out there to add in for free. If the price is right, then Id suggest it as one to have in your library.

The Tropico games are also good, but play in a different fashion.

are you going to accept that invite?
it's been there for three weeks and 99% of the stuff I want to tell you would get me banned if I posted them in forum. :P

I meant to comment about banished as well - plays very differently yet again, but it can be a better game for chilling out (on the easier settings). Can also get a wee bit distressing when you see your citizens die.

That's easy enough to get around, just change the laws. Make it illegal to die.

Anyone caught not staying alive is to be immediately executed.

Anything EXCEPT SimCity 2012?
Cities:Skylines is the best city builder out there.

Don't forget the Network Addon Mod for SimCity 4, it's more or less essential for the game to be enjoyable, and according to me, playable. It's more like a necessary patch that the developers didn't have time for than a mod. https://www.moddb.com/mods/network-addon-mod

Great game though!

I forgot about this one.

I have it but haven't played for more that 20/30 minutes. I loved that time but whenever I rev it up something pulls me away. I need a good few hours to really dive into it.
