It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hey fellas,

Following happened to me:

I just wanted to buy a game and when I click "Go to checkout" I am getting hit with a response error (see screenshot).

Does anyone know if the shop servers are down, or if this is a known issue?

I tried searching the forums, but to no avail, the problem seems to be not really an issue for anybody else.

Anyone having a fix or advice for this?

Thanks in advance,

All the Best,

Io

Why don't you try again but this time from your browser instead of Galaxy? If it doesn't work, i guess you should get in touch with the support team, or wait for a while and see if it's fixed.

Sorry, I was unclear about that, I did, of course, try both the galaxy and the browser version. In the browser version I get the same error, but first a little dude carrying the world shows up.

But yeah, I just contacted support as the only thing I found about that issue was somebody saying it might be that the store does not know how to process the game, but alas, I REALLY want these two games.

Thank you, however, guess this is a support mission :P
Ah, the GoG Bear is still alive?
Check if your galaxy client has the latest updates installed. If updating your client doesn't help do what Vythonaut is suggesting: Try buying directly from GOG.com and if this doesn't work contact the support team.

I often see GOG Bear recently.
Usually a refresh will kick it out.

I restarted the programme, and I could not find anyway to force updates. Again, does not work the broser version either.

It should update automatically. You probably have the final version and the problem is being caused by something else.
Contact support. They will guide you trough even if it takes some time. I've never encountered this personally so i can't offer any help, sorry.

It's fine, I just checked what I could check and informed support, I think there is nothing I could do on my side.

Thx again!

Interesting. And very weird xD

So you might want to try to pay without using your wallet.
I am also encountering this error.

It persists across multiple browsers, operating systems, and networks. It is also account specific - when I made a new account it could get to the checkout page.

If you were addressing to me, then that's what i do. :p

I cannot access GOG wallet or add funds because of it - but the funds i had i used during checkout when paying with CC and everything ran smoothly. It's just that having some GOG wallet money makes things easier in most cases.

As Arretu said, this is an issue account related.
Posted from my testing account, secretly Arretu.

As an update to what I said, it seems that (in my case at least) using my actual account, the (locally cached??) values

gog_<userIDstring>_lastOrderId
gog_<userIDstring>_lastOrderExpires

are not created. I assume this is reflected on the server side too. These files are created (on a wiped VM) with one account when attempting to purchase, but not the other.

Since the value contained in lastOrderID is used to form the checkout URL, the affected accounts must be sending malformed requests to the checkout server, resulting in the 500 error.

I can only speculate, but my gut feeling is that whatever is handling these values is not clearing old cache properly, so is expecting the string from a previous order and/or is refusing to assign new ones.

I understand that problems happen, but while support were initially working on the case with me I have now heard nothing in several hours. I just wanted to fly some spaceships man, and the wallet funds do very little for me if the checkout page is broken.
