As promised, we have really great offers for you to celebrate the biggest gaming event in Europe - GamesCom in Cologne, Germany, for those of you who don't know what we're talking about. Not one, but two promos are running on GOG.com this week! First and foremost you can now grab the one and only The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for only $29.99 (40% off the regular price)! The game that received IGN, GameSpot, GamePro and many others Editor’s Choice mentions and is believed by many to be on of the best PC titles of the year, is now available for the most affordable price you can find!

Additionally to this offer, we're having a 40% discount on games that enjoyed great success in Germany back in the good old days. You can grab Jagged Alliance 1 for $3.59 and Jagged Alliance 2 for just $5.99; Battle Isle Platinum for $5.99, Realms of Arkania 1 and 2 for $3.59, Realms of Arkania 3 for $3.59 and Master of Orion 1+2 for $3.59. This way everyone around the world can enjoy this gamer’s holiday even if you're not attending the show.

Both promotions end on Monday, August 22 at 3:59 a.m. (7:59 a.m. GMT), so don't wait and save those monies!
I finally bought alle 3 Realms of Arkania games.
Nice offer GOG! Pity I have the games I want from this sale. :)

You didn't get my backlog bigger this time!!!! Yay for wallet.

Elle85: Nooooooooooooooooooooo :( Bought the witcher 2 last week from gamesgate for about the same price (and a stupid DRM) :(
The patches on CD Projekt's website for The Witcher 2 should remove whatever DRM is on your version - unless it is a client-thing like Steam? Although I thought gamersgate didn't have that?

seikilos: In theory I am now a happy owner of the Witcher 2 (and also bought Master of Orion 1+2 although I allready have the later of the two on cd somewhere).

In practice I even was for some minutes. Looked at the new shiny digital boxes in my digital shelf. Tried to download the extras for MoO1+2 and got an error message.
"Well, well" I thought. "Maybe something strange happened on the server side. Maybe a temproary problem. Better get the garden mowed before noon and try again later."

It is later now. Not only the extras aren't accessable for me, both games have disappeared from my shelf.

This must be an evil plot. Sabotage! While the gog-crew is out of the house somebody must have broken into the server and stolen my games! Somebody call the frrench monk!
Well *that's* not right. Please send in a message to support and they will get back to you as soon as they can to address the issue.

I think I did, however my message doesn't appear on my account page. Is there something like support[at]gog.com?
Bought the whole dang thing. Yes. Yes I did. :D

All my monies are belong to Gog.
I bought Witcher 2, even though I know that it doesn't work well right now in Wine (but I hope someday in the future it will work), just to support DRM free games.
from now, im going to by only from GoG! ...Awesome!
seikilos: I had to send in a support ticket once. They reply to you at the email they have on file for you.

GOG: That's kind of confusing, the way the online page is set up, it's easy to infer you should be watching for a message there rather than your email... Maybe something sent to the online page saying, "You have email from us, go check it!" would be in order?

Apparently back in the old days there was a message system that was linked to your account page where you could access messages between you and GOG. However, that feature was removed before my time. GOG just never changed the description. I was also confused by this at first.

As silveri noted, you'll get an e-mail from them.

But it was a good day for your wallet. He needed a break. :)
I think i'm the only one who don't want to buy any games from that list .
Witcher 2 yes! Other games....eh. No thanks.

Both games should be back on your account... There was a small caching issue that affected your order - sorry for that!
This promo is not really for me, but it's a nice one nonetheless and I'm sure many will appreciate it.
Also, to anyone who doesn't have the Master of Orion pack but likes turn based strategies, do yourself a favor and get it now. I can't speak for MoO (I've never tried it yet), but the second installment is, at least in my opinion, one of the best sci-fi TBS games.
