NuffCatnip: I was just wondering what exactly warranted the news post for the game. :)
avatar
WinterSnowfall: Oh. Why the comic, of course. It's more newsworthy than bikini and cosplay DLCs :P.
Yeah, that was the first news post today where I thought 'Do we need this?'
The second one made me post. :P

On a more serious note, some games don't get a news post at all, even for their release...others are showered in them. :/

I'd be interested to know exactly if the Comic Book DLC will remain available after the promotion expires, or if as it seems it will be removed or will no longer be free.

Grargar: Over 20 million copies sold makes a game cult? Come on.
Pretty much everything is cult in some circles :P

Well, that wording is a little misleading, me thinks...

Yay, a digital comic. Strike up the band! .....really?
high rated
It's very sad that it's the only Sony PC game we can buy here.

P-E-S: Cool? Eh. I rather see Days Gone and God of War here.
avatar
BanditKeith2: I'd rather Days Gone instead of God of War
I'd rather see Drakan and Overboard! than both of those :)

Just bring the entire Psygnosis catalogue here already please. I hate how Sony is just sitting on these good old games and doing absolutely nothing with them.

Did you try claiming it as a gift? You still wouldn't be able to redeem it without the game, but if you ever do get the game here in the future, you'll then be able to add it to your account.
This sucks... I want the free comic book and it's telling me I have to buy the game to see it. Oh well...

The price isn't that bad but $24.99 should be the regular price. The game is already 2 years old and I know it's DRM free but if not, then give me the game with a code to activate and allow me to own it. I paid for it, didn't I?

That was a good idea! I didn't even think to do that and now I have to look at all the free DLCs of games on my wishlist just in case LOL.
.
Another thought why do we need a 2ND Anniversary Trailer for the game? just something I really em interested why it exists when its not a rerelease or a new game version

I mean, there's probably not much point unless the DLC is time-limited, as this one is. :)
Also, if you do redeem a gift copy of the comic, make sure and check the gift code's expiration date. As a "purchased" item, it shouldn't have one, but since it's both free and time-limited, better to double-check.

It's good until 2199, but I just did it for a few games I'm sure I'll buy from my wishlist. Was just waiting for a slightly better discount.

It was also just to be on the safe side in case the developer/publisher later decided to remove it for some reason. I recall one game I had that lost a soundtrack, forgot which game (maybe one of the Alan Wake games?), so I figured better safe than sorry.

Either ways, thank you for the idea. :)
.
UPDATE:
All the codes are good until Dec 31, 2199.

Thanks for the tip. I did that now.

As predicted - the code isn't eligible to redeem, yet - but maybe in the future I will buy a second copy of "Horizon Zero Dawn" here on GOG (already own it an my PS4), and then I'll hopefully can still claim the comic.
