What about half-cocks, half-hens?

Yes, they do indeed exist.

This also happens (and is more obvious when it does) in cardinals.
I can't for the life of me understand why some people expect corporations to endorse their social crusades, whatever they may be. Gog is just a store. They sell software. They don't do translations, they don't have a say in what publishers should censor/uncensor and they sure as hell aren't supposed to make society 'better'.

Do you have a problem with [your country's] dumb and draconian censorship laws? Then pressure your government into changing them. Make some noise in social media. Support your local anti-censorship organizations. Why should a small Polish company on other side of the ocean change the world for you?

And the Vatican is okay with that? A rather unexpected turn of events.

InfraSuperman: Recent events have shown me that, yes, GOG is really big on helping censorship.

WBGhiro: I'm not following you, what do you mean?
As toxicTom already mentioned, it was a swipe at the various geolocked games on GOG, especially in recent times.

Any distributor who "opens the floodgates" by saying they are open to all AO content - well, pretty soon they will be carrying only AO content.

You must love Kanye then, possibly the biggest cock in history. Beating Piers Morgan even.
And what exactly is GOG supposed to do about this? If a game developer chooses to self censor their game then that is their decision and GOG has no say in it. If a GOG customer lives in a place with stricter laws regarding censorship then GOG must follow those laws to the best of their ability when selling that customer a game. Again this is not something GOG can choose to follow or not, they must comply with local laws. The only choice that GOG has is whether or not to add a game to it's library, and that is based on several other Important factors. To the extent that GOG does employ a form a self censorship, if at all, it should be based on business models and projections rather than on emotional impulses. It is also a decision that they have every right to make for themselves and not have to be answerable to some ideology. By the OPs rationale, anyone who doesn't make profanity laden, overly offensive posts are all part of the problem with censorship. Anytime someone sets out to change the world it's worth asking; what gives them the right to make those decisions for everyone else?

On a side note, don't forget the cultural significance of the Drew Carey Show. If I remember right, it was the first time a TV show whose characters were allowed to fart on screen.
I have a few... tomes... that celebrate the Japanese way of... courting. They seem to have been censored for some obscure cultural reason. Can GOG help me with that?

That figures.
Considering that we have a censored version of Huniepop on GOG, and that GOG curates all the fun out of a game store, I don't think they'll be of much help to anyone on this front.

I know and I understand there is a principle involved, but that HuniePop censorship is so easily fixed it's almost the same as having an option to turn it off and on in game.

Katawa Shoujo did that, often with hilarious results.

I was thinking games that have an option for blood and stuff.
